The Untitled Grimm film was announced in January 2025 as being in development.
Development[]
In January 2025, it was reported that a reboot film is in development at Peacock, with the show's co-creators/executive producers and showrunners Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt acting as executive producers on the project, alongside Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman and additional members of the original series' creative team, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliners' Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television.[1][2] It is currently reported that the movie would be expected to introduce new characters and serve as a new jumping-off point set within the same universe as the original series; the movie would potentially have connections to the original series for fans, while still simultaneously easily accessible by new viewers not familiar with the original mythology and characters.[3][2][4] Deadline has reported that if the film is successful, it could launch a franchise for Peacock as well.[2]
