I already posted this as a blog but I thought people are more likely to read it if it's a disscussion.
So anyway.
Has anyone else noticed that they hardly ever base episodes on fairytales anymore?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. It's just a bit strange that the whole point of Grimm was that the episodes where all twisted version of classic fairytales, myths, legends and the like, Which is why they have quotes at the beginning. And the Wesen were all based on such as well
However from season 4 onwards ( and half of season 3) it just seems to be a case "write what you want and find a good quote that matches, even if it's just something a famous said once". A good example would be the Season 4 episode "Thanks for the Memories" which literaly had "Knowledge is Power" as it's quote, That and the Gedachtnis Esser didn't seem to make any reference to past Myths, legends or folklore.
Again. I'm not complaining. It just seems strange to me that no one else seems to have noticed.
