As the series finale gets closer and closer, it's time to start prepping to do each of the Wiki Events one final time. First up is the March (April) Madness Löwen Games. This will kick off soon after the finale. Hopefully within a week of the episode.
As done in previous tournaments, people will be able to create brackets to make their tournament predictions. Bracket predictions will be open for a couple days and after that the tournament will begin. Like with every tournament, we need reporters to write up the matches. Like the last couple years, polls on challonge.com will be used to help decide the matches so that the reporters can't completely choose the winner of a match to help their bracket. As a reminder in the polls, if a species gets 65% of the votes, then that means they have a 65% chance to win.
You must have an account on challonge to vote in the polls, so you might as well do that and create your own bracket prediction for fun. All Wesen that have physically appeared on the show are eligible, and Non-Wesen beings will not be eligible. Seedings will be randomly determined in a list randomizer.
After March Madness will be the final Grimmy Awards. If you have category suggestions for awards, please post in this thread. Examples of past categories include Best Episode, Best Wesen, and Best Character. Only people, Wesen, etc. that appeared in an episode that aired in 2016 or 2017 will be eligible. A poll for each category will be made and be left open for 1-2 weeks to determine the winners.
Lastly, or maybe concurrently with the Grimmy Awards, will be an ultimate Episode Battle Royale to determine the wiki's favorite episode of Grimm. The last battle royale we did was all the bay back at the conclusion of season 3, so it's time for one more. For this, voting will be sort of a combination of March Madness and the Grimmys. There will be a bracket on challonge, but for this battle, it will be double elimination. Losers of round 1 go into a losers bracket where if they lose again, they are eliminated from the tournament. The champion of the losers bracket will advance to face the champion of the winners bracket, where the losers bracket winner must defeat the winners bracket champion twice to win the title.
Polls will be made on the wiki for each match up as well as the polls on challonge. Scores (vote percentage) will be included on Challonge when reporting scores using the poll results. Percents and decimals can't be included, so when scores are reported, they will be a number from 1-100 and rounded up or down if necessary. Ex: 71.5% will round up to 72% and 71.4% will round down to 71%. Each poll will only remain open for a day or two.
Seedings are decided with a random number generator using the order the episodes aired. For example: "Pilot" is #1 and "The End" is #123 in the generator.
If you have questions regarding any of these events, feel free to ask.
