  • WHEN LOSS MEETS SCIENCE AN UNSTOPPABLE CREATION ARISES - VIK SAHAY GUEST STARS - Deadly attacks on a team of scientists lead Nick (David Giuntoli), Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) on an investigation unlike any they have had before. Meanwhile, as the research continues into the origins of the cloth, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) learn that Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) is still feeling the after effects of the death grip. Elsewhere, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) reaches out to an old friend to get answers to the origins of the symbols drawn by Diana.

But Meisner and Henrietta are both dead unless you mean since he was possessed by Jack he can now communicate with dead people.

I highly doubt his mother would be referred to as an old friend.

    • Maybe we'll have a character named Victor or Frank (one or the other could also be a last name), or maybe named Whale in honor of James Whale, director of the classic film version.

A whale wesen would be cool.

    • I agree. A whale wesen would be cool. Also, what if the name is Victor Frank, or Frank Victor? ;)

Or maybe Franklin, or the surname Stein?

At least according to the first promo image metadata, there will be a "Dr. Victor Shelley"

Oh, I get it, Victor, as in Victor Frankenstein, and Shelley, as in Mary Shelley, the woman who wrote Frankenstein (perhaps a descendant?). Clever!

    • What about Josh? His father was a Grimm and we know that if one Grimm dies another Grimm "starts the game". So it was with Nick too.

He could be present at the end of the episode with a returning Trubel and than he is indeed the "Son" that "Rises" to a Grimm.

That would be something, if he was descended from Mary, or if they read a passage in a Grimm book connecting Shelley to the Wesen in some way.

Either she was a Grimm, and that story accidentally got published, or she was that Wesen, and she purposely wrote and published that story (although I have no idea the reasoning behind that).

    • Perhaps presenting it as a work of fiction would dispell any possibility that it was true. On the other hand, the Wesen council would likely have had to approve.

This is true. It would make sense that she would pretend it was just fiction.

    • Well, the main character is very Frankenstein-esue. What Wesen do you think "donated" their limbs to him. I mean, I understand the Stangebar for the one arm, but what about the other arm, and the legs, for that matter?

      Here is my theory.

Reptilian arm: Either Skalenzahne or Gelumcaedus.

Spotted leg: Possibly a leopard or Dalmatian-like wesen.

Thick-skinned leg: Dickfellig, Taweret, or Bhari Khadma.

      What do you think?

        Loading editor
    • I thought that thick skinned leg is Siegbarstes.

      Oh, maybe. Good point.

    • My best guess at this point is that the other arm was Skalenzahne, while the thick skinned leg is likely Siegbarste, but perhaps could also be from a Hässlich. The spotted leg is the most difficult one to tell; I initially thought it was from a Mauvais Dentes, but after a few looks, with the help of some recently released BTS content, the white hair/fur suggests to me that it's from a Pflichttreue. Still awaiting confirmation on all of this, however.

I think you might be right, there.

    • Confirmation has been received, and it turns out that the left arm was Stangebär, the right arm was Skalenzahne, the left leg was Lebensauger, and the right leg was Pflichttreue.

Lebensauger? I certainly wasn't expecting that. Although, now that I look at the picture, it makes sense.

    • I've now received further clarification, so updates will be upcoming shortly.  Turns out it was Gelumcaedus for the right arm and Huntha Lami Muuaji for the left leg.  Even better!

    • Huh. Interesting. Gelumcaedis does make sense, and Huntha Lami Muuaji, as well, now that I think about it.

    • Something cool I wanted to pass along to you -- I wasn't thinking this would happen at all, but in trying to get some confirmation on the Frankenstein Wesen limbs, I ended up hearing directly from Barney Burman. He says he's used and referenced the wiki many times "in order to help keep our own creature records and their funny names straight." Love hearing things like that! Kudos to you and the prior admins/editors

    • That's awesome. It's always interesting to hear who checks out the wiki. Even the writers have been known to use it on occasion.
