  • A SERIES OF CONNECTED MURDERS LEAD EVERYONE TO THINK A COPYCAT IS ON THE LOOSE - GARCELLE BEAUVAIS AND NICO EVERS-SWINDELL GUEST STAR - A string of homicides have the press asking Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz) if a Jack the Ripper copycat has arrived in Portland. While dealing with the investigation, Nick (David Giuntoli), Hank (Russell Hornsby), Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Wu (Reggie Lee) deal with a situation they never expected. Meanwhile, Adalind (Claire Coffee) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) must work together on a last ditch attempt to fix Juliette's (Bitsie Tulloch) condition. Elsewhere, Juliette decides to help her new ally even if it means hurting those around her.

    • Okay, sounds like a lot is going on

      1. Jack the Ripper copycat? - Nice
      2. Monroe working a case with Nick, Hank, and Wu? - Nice
      3. Rosalee and Adalind working together? - Whaaaaaaaaat

    • you did not complete number three. Adalind and Rosalee working together to fix juliette.

We are not going to recognize the characters anymore. Will need a score card to determine who is good and who is bad.

    • And, "... Juliette decides to help her new ally even if it means hurting those around her." Ok, her new ally is almost certainly Kenneth. That will be a very dangerous, and formidable, combination. Poor Portland!

        Loading editor
    • Especially after Kenneth took an interest that Juliette could move a statute. Plus he guessed right that she and the grimm would not be together. Juliette would meet wtih Kenneth to get at Adalind.

How does that work ? Why should Rosalee work with Adalind ? And Kenneth let Adalind go without security ? Makes no sense for me. He has no interest for Juliette, he might use to find the child. Unless Juliette kills Kenneth and Adalind goes back to Sean or tells Nick that he is the father of her unborned child.

I have this notion that EVERY fantasy story should have its own take on Jack the Ripper. And now Grimm finally has one XD

    • Ok everyone has this negative reaction to Juliette being a hexenbiest. Nick can't even look at Juliette. He has this mindset the Grimm and Hexenbiest can't get along. But when it comes to Adalind he doesn't seem to have a problem with her.  Of all the things that would piss juliette off the most. To she Nick accept Adalind as a hexenbiest but not her. For Julliette to see Nick protect Adalind to care for Adalind. That will push her over the edge more then the pregnancy. When the say Juliette will be out for revenge in the finally. they are really setting up the reasons.

Your are condemning her without knowing what is going on. Guilty on suspicion. Yes she's standing there and is amused. And because she's a Hexenbiest it must be her action. I'm not sure she did it.

The otherside Nick protect's Adalind, brings her in the spiceshop and the gang is  working on a rechange curse, Juliette comes in and see this and is more than pissed. So Adalind wanted her death, she changed her life, is responsible for her transforming, took her love and gets a child by him and now they want to take her powers.

She would become helpless and desperate. This must be for her insufferable.  I only say " Kill Bill". If this so good, that's another point. Without this Adalind she would be able to stay under control.

I know! Such a great loss...I loved that trailer.

This is so sad. I can't believe the writers would do this. There is even a section on the NBC Grimm website devoted to the trailer...'The Interactive Trailer'.

The books alone are a great loss, but then there were also all those potions and cures, and the ancient weapons that were one-of-a-kind. All lost. This is terrible.

Hopefully. Maybe he'll continue to document Wesen on his own, and that way he'll still have references, but still, most likely he'll be in big trouble most of the time.

This also reminds me, if Juliette's going to destroy the trailer, I'm very concerned if she might do the same thing to the Spice Shop, which is equally important as the trailer.

What is wrong or right.? I 'don't kinow.  Look, Juliette is mad. Burning the trailer ? Makes no sense for me. If Kenneth finds out, where the trailer is, they will empty it out. They may leave some books and weapons behind, so that everybody thinks all stuff is gone. So Nick( in his desperation) will inform his Mother and Trubel.  Don't forget the section of history  the Varraner have. Kenneth wants that Kelly returns to Portland.

The only one who would not care, is Jack. Jack was more than a killer, he was weird but at the same time he outwitted the police with his cunning methods. He never used the same weapon twice and mocked the police. He was in love with himself wanted attention and wanted to show how smart he is. He taunted the police to show that he, Jack controlled the situation and nothing that they do can stop him.

Why is Juliette standing there ? Was he following Juliette to the trailer, did she even slept there ? She may have powers but delete a brand, no-  Maybe she surprised him and he attacked her, without knowing what she is. I'm pretty sure he knows that she is the girlfriend of Nick. The Police( In former time) always suspected that he was a native.

    • What is so great about the image of Juliette by the trailer. Her body language gives you absolutely no indication of her state of mind. She could be the cause or she could be escaping.  But with all of the reviews saying the season ends on a revenge note. The simple answer is Juliette is getting her revenge.

The show has tried to give us enough reasons. Nick sleep with Adalind. Now she is having his baby. Then Nick protects and works with Adalind the hexenbiest she hates. But will not accept her the hexenbiest he loves.

Why should Rosalee work with Adalind? Well...because she's an experienced Hexenbiest, who also would like to see Juliette returned to normal, preferably before Juliette kills her.

And it doesn't indicate anywhere that Kenneth let her go without security. She's a Hexenbiest; I'm sure if she wanted to slip her collar for a bit, it wouldn't be all that difficult.

        Loading editor
    • @ Unverganglich. " I'm sure you can but you are not going to. This is not a disscusion. Send someone with her." That's sounds not like independence. She might being a Hexenbiest but I doubt she will oppose Kenneth.

That she is a Hexenbiest ? I heard about it.  Experienced, I doubt.  Trusted ?  No.  And yes, she would like to see Juliette returned to normal so she could end this once and for all. But Rosalee without even spoken with Juliette  and working with Adalind ?  Some would see the ironic in this cooperation.

        Loading editor
    • That was the first time she wanted to go out, shopping. Like I said, I doubt she'd have an issue slipping her protective detail if she wanted.

She's certainly experienced. She's been a Hexenbiest since the Pilot episode, and even then she already had tricks up her sleeve. She's not exactly been idle since then.

    • I am sure kenneth either sent Adalind to tell Nick or he expected her to go and tell Nick. One more thing to get Juliettte to not side with Nick. Adalind wants to cure Juliette to protect herself. But once Juliette lost her powers. Adalind would get revenge for Juliette beating her up.

Rosalee does not know about Juliettes fight with Adalind. So it would not dawn on Rosalee that Adalind would seek revenge. But Nick knows the whole story. Nick should know that Adalind would seek revenge once Juliette lost her powers.  Juliette has told Nick she understands and likes her new powers. Why would he even consider removing them. Other then he fears Juliette would hurt Adalind.

Kenneth would want Nick to bond with the baby, then he could use Nick's child as leverage to get Diana. For Kenneth to give Juliette permission to keep Adalind under control would be a good payback. Kenneth will need Juliette to not hurt Adalind until he finds Diana.

There are a number of reasons that Kelly comes back.

As much as Nick my want to jump in front of Juliette to protect Adalind. Nick pisses Juliette off enough the fight between Nick and Juliette would be worse then the biest match.   Remember Nick has no idea how powerfull Juliette is.

I am going to be the first to say I like the new character. She is more bad ass then anyone they have had on the show.  If you can't shot her how does Nick think he is going to be able to stop her.

The only way Nick not get charged  is they all lie and say it was an accident.  But after that and watching Juliette throw poor Rosale. I would think Nick would not want to mess with Juliette again.

I wonder how they are going to provide motivation for Trubel to side with Nick against Juliette. Plus knowing Juliette can kill with her mind. Would Nick even put Trubel in that kind of danger.

But what is going to be even more exciting is how Diana reacts to Adalind. Adalind did sell her. They made Diana aware even before she was born. will they give her the knowledge that Adalind sold her. I could see Diana allying with Juliette.

I hope the same. Diana could stop Juliette. Not killing but calming down. She could give her a new meaning of life. I can really understand how Juliette must be feeling. She lost the hope that things could be better and so regrettable  that she burned the trailer with this rar and precious things it was a logical conclusion.

I sure hope Monroe doesn't get killed - I want to see a Monrosalee baby.  Also, Kenneth proposed putting Nick in mortal danger in order to lure Kelly out of hiding, unless he was meaning a ruse (but I doubt that). I have a feeling Nick's unborn son is going to need him.

I think it is creative to give Sean a problem so he has a reason to stay out of the  firght. So he does not look to be backing down from kenneth.

Until we know what part diana is going to play. We know nothing about what the other characters are going to do. We know Juliette has done a 180  degree turn. I am thinking Nick will also start to change. I can see an anger in Nick starting to build. or maybe it is a feeling of dispair.

    • With all of the lost that seems to be headed Nick way. I could see him and Trubel joining forces and becoming old style Grimm. Behead first and questions later.

Because Nick feels no longer comfortable in the house. He gets another trailer puts whats left in it starting a rebirth.  Like magic we start to see things return to the trailer. It always seemed that tailer had a life of it's own.

But it is building the reasons for Nick to be angry are going to be way above what Juliette was angry about. Juliette only lost her old life. Nick will be losing his mother, child, friends,  and Juliette.

Nick will be the good guy out for revenge. Juliette will be the evil witch helping other wesen and hexenbiest against the Grimm. So you have good doing evil and evil doing good.

It was a tweet, so the quote is all there is to it.

At a guess, the tweet can mean one of two things...

      A) someone made copies without anyone else knowing (methinks Josh took some photos with his phone) and some of the trailers knowledge is salvaged this way.

      Or

      B) Nick and company make a concerted effort to create a new trailer. Writing down what they remember (both from the books and their own memories) and seeking out old texts and artifacts to become part of this new archive. Maybe this time they will also create backups.

    • As I have written on anothr page, Juliette removed the items in the trailer before burning it.

I'm convinced Juliette's sold their house andthe first Nick will learn of it is when the new owners arrives to move in, probably early in season 5.

I am almost sure Kenneth is the Ripper copycat which Juliette will ensure Nick discovers thus sending him Kelly and Trubel against the royals. Rennard will tag along. Juliette wants to Kelly and Rennard dead. Kelly is too experienced a Grimm and too knowledgeable. Rennard covers Nick at work and opens too many doors among wesen to him in Portland.

I am sure Juliette would like Nick to shoot Monroe to cut him off from his and Rosalee;s freindship. If Nick has say removed the bullets from the gun, Juliette can always shoot him later. Juliette can set Nick up with the death in the bar and ransacking a house and farm. Adalind's got Stephania to worry about as well. Juliette can stir up plenty of trouble for Nick and his unborn child.

First time i saw the land the trailer was moved onto, i thought to myself what a wonderful location for Fortress Gimm.

I see Nick holding his dying mother in his arms, hearing her last words and having an epiphany. I think he'll not be motivated by revenge or vengeance anymore.

I don't think Juliette will sell the house. In fact in the end Nick will leave and Juliette will move back end.  we are going to see Nick go down a really dark path of revenge.

Like Adalind said Juliette is starting to accept being a hexenbiest. It was being turned into being a hexenbiest that was driving her anger. Now it is only Nick and Adalind that drives her anger. Like Juliette told Rosalee she blames her but she also thanks her.

Interesting. The fan reaction to the burning of the Trailer has been overwhelmingly negative...so I guess they decided they had better figure out a way to 'fix it'.

For Juliette friends to agree to let Adalind, Juliette's worse enemy perform yet another potion on her. especially after the other's never worked out well. To know my friends are willing to make me vulnerable to my enemy. Make them my enemy.

She is lying now...saying that "The Reason I took Nick's grimm powers away was because you took my baby".

      That's a total lie.

She didn't know then, that Nick & the gang had done anything. She thought that the Royals had her baby, because Renard gave her to Viktor. She didn't know that they had tricked Viktor.

She called Viktor, Viktor didn't tell her that he didn't have Diana...and he told her if she took Nick's powers away, she could come and be with her baby.

That is why she did the spell and slept with Nick...to curry favor with Viktor.

At the time she did that, she didn't know what had really happened. Nick and the gang had just helped her, that's all she knew.

So even knowing that...she betrayed Nick, without batting an eye, simply because Viktor had told her to.

I hate it that the writers are now trying to make us sympathetic to Adalind, just because she has ended up pregnant from basically raping Nick.

I don't think she will ever tell Nick that.

She would have to admit that she was lying when she said "I only did it because you took my baby". She's saying that to everyone...and they are accepting it!

I wonder if she was using her hexenbiest powers on Nick, in Renard's office...

Nick didn't want to touch her. He pulled away from her...but she went over and grabbed his hand. His hand was in a clenched fist, but when she touched him...his hand relaxed, and he let her put it on her stomach, like she wanted.

It reminded me of the time when Henrietta used her powers on Nick...she touched him, and it was like he was under her spell. She had him accepting a kiss from her, willingly.

Adalind can do this too. We saw her do it to Renard, in his car. Then he snapped out of it and said..."God, you're good." And pulled his hand away.

I don't trust Adalind at all.

No, Wolfwand...she didn't know it yet, that they took her baby.

Adalind didn't find that out until after she was in the dungeon, in Austria.

Remember? She went to Austria...to see her baby.
When she got there, she said to Viktor..."I did what you wanted, I took the Grimms powers away. Let me see my baby!"

And then Viktor threw her in the dungeon.

It wasn't until he let her out, and they were letting her eat something and talking about it...that is when Adalind and Viktor figured out that Nick and the gang had given Diana to Kelly.

She took Nick's powers away for one reason...because Viktor told her to.

Shout who down, Adalind...or Juliette? I don't understand.

The writers are building up Juliette as this 'big bad' out of control hexenbiest now.

I think they want us to believe that Juliette would actually kill Adalind, even though she is pregnant.

      Stopping her...by killing her.

Juliette is the only one who would be against Adalind having the baby. That's what Adalind wanted Nick to think.

And really, Juliette did try to kill her, with the gargoyle. Then, at the police station, Juliette threatened to "rip her throat out"...which confirmed what Adalind had just said.

    • @ Lurkenfrau No, I meant everybody would be able to shot Adalind down. I mean why must it be Juliette ? So if I understand nobody is able to stop Adalind having her Baby, except Juliette. That makes for me no sense.

Let me say one word to Diana. Legally she is not the daughter of Adalind. So the group kidnapped Diana from her stepparents, the Royals. Every Judge would tell you so. And if it was illegal, she has to return the money ( or in the case of Adalind her powers). It doesn't make it better, but Diana is not her daughter anymore.

At the time Adalind took Nicks powers.  The only thing Adalind knew was Nick and Juliette had put all past issues behind them, to help Adalind with her baby. As a think you Adalind takes Nicks powers.  Why, because Viktor says so. But this is who Nick chooses to protect.

This jumpstarts an ultimate confrontation between them, and based on the promo for the episode, it does not look like it will end well"

The problem with this opinion, what would be Juliettes motivation to go on a killing spree.  People may not agree with Juliettes reasons. But every action has had a reason.

The one reason would be so Nick comes after Juliette with enough anger so they can have a show down. The problem, Juliette can kill Nick without lifting a finger. So unless she wants to just beat on him for a while why draw him out. Like she did with Adalind. But with Adalind she had not discovered the extent of her powers. Had she of known that like she said in the station. "I should have killed you when I had the chance"

We know we see Henrietta again. I bet it is Henrietta that gets Juliette to let go of her rage, and work toward making a life for herself. I wonder if Henrietta has a connection to the Royals.

      So...Juliette is the Ripper?

As far as her motivation...I don't know. She did say that she hated the wesen stuff, and was "So sick of it!"

Remember? When she threw the book down on Renard's bed and yelled at him?

So maybe she is killing wesen? That could also be part of why she went into such a rage when she was in the Trailer. She was pissed off at Nick, yes...but she could've also been sick of all the wesen stuff in general.

She said in the police station..."I'm in Hell".

And yeah, I've been hoping that Henrietta would get involved in getting Juliette to calm down. She slapped her when she was getting out of control at her house...maybe she can talk her down from the edge.

    • It doesn't sound like Juliette is the Ripper, so I'm not sure where that article got its info. All indications seem to be that Renard is the Ripper. He's not remembering things and is very violent, which is sounds like the guy in Nick's diary because the guy said "the devil made me do it". Also, the guy didn't woge, but there was something in his eyes, so Juliette isn't the Ripper.

I remember an interview stating that the Grim Reaper would appear in the season finale. Remember, the diary also said "he smiled, as if death meant nothing to him." What if Renard is possessed by Death himself? When he was dead, Death maybe watched over Renard, and when he was brought back to life, Death jumped into his body so he could reek havoc. Why it took so long for Death to manifest into Renard, who knows, but it seems to be happening more frequently, or at least when Death takes over Renard it takes over him longer than it did before. Either way, Renard is in deep, deep trouble.

I read that preview in Christiantoday and I think they just scrambled what was in the press release with the promo video. The "horrific scene" in the promo that leads Nick to "go after" Juliette is the burning of the trailer. They confused that with the description of the Jack the Ripper scenario in the press release. That was a horribly written preview.

My hunch as well has been that the Captain will turn out to be the Jack the Ripper copycat. If Renard's is the "major character death" that the writers have warned us about, it would be a dramatic way for him to go out. And as you say, I think that new sneak peak solidifies that possibility, what with Renard clearly being somehow trapped being the living world and the "other side."

Juliette might force Nick to shoot Monroe or she might have him point the gun at the ceiling at the last instant or something. In an interview, Bitsie said that Juliette demonstrates to some of the other characters that "she could kill them if she wants to." I think that eventually Juliette will try to retrieve the keys for the Royals. Not sure if that what she's doing in that scene or if they've called her there to talk about the potential cure.

Bitsie tweeted about having a fling with Kenneth and, based on the new preview pics for "Headache," it looks like that might happen. Talk about strengthening an alliance!

However for Juliette, it might be different. She seems like she is extremely knowledgable in potions and stuff, so she must've known what would've happened. I want Elizabeth to come back and have everybody be like "well, those miracles turned out great, thanks a lot!" before Death overtakes Renard and brutally murders her. ;D

Well that could explain it. I was surprised at the notion that Juliette was "the killer".

But who knows..the writers are tricksy, they are, and they fools us sometimes. Heh.

Yeah, that certainly has seemed where they are leading us, with Renard's blackouts, etc. Knocking that guy out for no reason, taking his wallet then not remembering it.

But they started after Renard succumbed to Juliette's charms, after that he had the vision of the red demon hands and the blackouts. Before that, he was just having the phantom bleeding.

I really don't know what to think at this point.

Adalind suppressing her powers to prove it works, either she knows how to reverse it, or what she tried is different then what she is going to give Juliette. Adalind has been doing the villian thing to long to leave herself powerless while Juliette still has her powers. Second how will they know it works? Because Adalind says she can't woge. would you even believe Adalind was telling the truth.

If Adalind did actually remove her own powers, by the way Adalind went to great lengths to get back. It would signal a complete reversal in the Adalind and Juliette character rolls.

It is more then likly this is just another one of Adalind's double crosses.

        Loading editor
    • in Sneak peak she said Juliet cant woge after cure? it is stupid, she is a hexebiest that noone can see that?!

        Loading editor
    • Ok lets consider what they made, Adalind took it all. So for Juliette they would have to make a new batch. What is to say Adalind would make it the same for Juliette.  The comment that it looked like water. I bet it is water.

      But more important.

Juliette has stated more then once she likes her powers. So why would they think Juliette would give them up. Even Monroe realized after all the other side effects why would Juliettte try another cure. NIck even realizes Juliette would not agree with ADalind involved.

Rosalee keeps on confusing me. She was against Adalind losing her powers to test it. But is more then willing for Juliette to lose hers.

Then you have Adalind is pregnant and willing to take something that she has no idea how it will affect the baby. Lets assume Adalind is telling the truth about it being able to suppress powers. She has now just suppressed the powers of the baby she is caring.

There are just too many reason why Adalind giving up her powers does not make sense.

        Loading editor
    • Of course Elizabeth knew what would happen when Juliette drank a potion that restored ones powers. Her potion for her Sean requires her strength and that is clearly on the wane. Elizabeth is someone Juliette has yet to question. I'd expect that confrontation to be part of the season finale.

Adalind's cure would last long enough for Adalind to take out a sword and cut off Juliette's head.

Juliette's going to be after the keys for herself.

        Loading editor
    • No where has it even been suggested that Elizabeth is coming back. As Juliette  keeps escalating her path to the dark. She could want to go after power and seek to get the keys.  I just don't think so.

    • The writers are really trying to have us find  sympathy for Adalind.  But after four seasons of Adalind seeming to want to change just to betray everyone. With the possibility of the Diana Reunion not going well. I will be very supprised if this season does not end with Adalind seeking revenge.  The synopsis says Nick will seek revenge. Wonder if that will include working with Adalind.

I could get onboard with Adalind redemption, if they would make it seem more genuine.  Nick change in the police station, I am not sure that biest powers where not involved. Especially after the hand holding, which is Adalind's signiture move.

    • Thanks for posting the links to the sneak peek vids!

NBC Grimm site still has the video of the scene with Nick and Adalind in the Renard's office. It is a brilliant phenomenal scene that I have rewatched about a dozen times. I have had enough of the gillete razor ad LOL.

So, the sneak peeks are wonderful. I love seeing Adalind and Nick interact in a constructive manner together as a team. Adalind and Juliete appear to have switched personas which is interesting. I am thrilled that the writers mixed up the roles for Juliette and Adalind. It is refreshing and I can't wait to see what happens next. I love that Juliette is empowered to cause unknown chaos in the future. She is a badass now! And Adalind's motherhood is giving her relationship with Nick a needed boost. I was getting tired of them being at odds all of the time. And tired of how boring Nick and Juliette's relationship had become. The writer's have certainly spiced things up! :)

And I hope that Adalind is planning a double cross. I do think she knows how to reverse it but she also knows that she needs Nick's help to survive after the baby is born. She is building goodwill because she can't beat Juliette as a hexenbeist so she is trading her powers temporarily for Nick's protection.

I am glad some of the books survived last weeks bon fire. That was heartbreaking to watch.

And I thought the keys were last seen in the spice shop...but maybe I missed something...it is about time they moved forward with the storyline about the map and keys.

      Can't wait for Friday!

        Loading editor
    • I too am waiting for the Adalind double cross.

Would be nice if they tried conviencing Juliette that it works by telling her that  Adalind took the potion. Knowing Adalind lies. Juliette graps her hard enought that Adalind has to woge to save herself. Juliette goes "And this is who you want me to trust". A way to establish Juliette is smarter then Adalind. Also lets us see Nick and his crew really are the scooby gang, willing to believe any good story.

I am hoping that Juliette either come up with a backup plan or insurance that Kenneth's ofer is legit.  Don't have Juliette go off blindly on faith like Adalind.

        Loading editor
    • I hope Juliette does not suppress her hexenbeist. She has more story options with power and a dark side. I agree she shouldn't trust Adalind or Kenneth. I want her to become a more independent character/wild card in the show. I don't think Nick will let Juliette get close enough to Adalind to hurt her because of the baby. Nick looks really concerned about Adalind's health in the sneak peeks. He is being sensitive, caring and careful with Adalind which is kinda funny LOL. I wonder if Juliette will see this shift in Nick's demeanor towards Adalind. It sure looks like Juliette is in a rage: throwing Rosalee into the shelves and forcing Nick to point his gun at Monroe...it will be interesting to see if Juliette commits to her dark side completely or if she shows restraint and stops before Monroe gets shot. Plus, she must have more planned with Kenneth, since hurting Monroe and Rosalee will not bring Nick's Mom back with Diana. According to Kenneth, Nick has to be in mortal danger for Kelly to surface. I wonder if Juliette will go that far to endanger Nick's life...

I don't remember but is there another reason besides revenge that made Kelly leave Nick with her sister all those years? Kinda warped to abandon your child just for vengeance...she could have waited till he was an adult - after all revenge is best served cold.

        Loading editor
    • Kelly left Nick with Mari because they where trying to kill Kelly. That's why Nick's father and his mother's friend where killed in the car. She just let everybody think it was her.

Nick being accused of attempted murder would count as in mortal danger. If nothing else a cop and Grimm in jail would not be a good thing.

    • Thanks! :) I guess I should rewatch some of the earlier episodes. I had forgotten that storyline.

Maybe, but he has done a lot worse, like actual murder (technically eventhough they were wesen.) Also I don't know if the writer's will revisit that storyline (Nick was in trouble with the guy he killed in the bar when he was still a zombie.) At least I hope they don't repeat themselves. I want a fresh scenario of how Nick's life goes to hell. Poor guy! He needs a lot of hugs this season.

        Loading editor
    • NIcks life going to hell might be an understatment. Shooting Monroe may only be the first thing Juliette has Nick do. Even though Nick knows it is Juliette making him do it he will still have the guilt . But he will be the one that is guilty. This my get him suspended from the police force. The last little piece of his life he had left will be gone.

Juliette started by tormenting NIck and it has just been getting worse. I won't to see even Kenneth become scared of her. When Sam, Sean, even Adalind challenged Kenneth he should them who is boss. When Juliette threatend to kill him, he did not jump big and bad. Each time we see Kenneth and Juliette interact he shows her respect. Something he has not shown for anyone else.

        Loading editor
    • Kenneth did propose putting Nick in mortal danger in order to force his mom to come to his rescue. Looks like Juliette may be getting started on that.

        Loading editor
    • By the end of this episode the hate comments will be non stop. By the end of the season. Adalind will seem like mother teresa compared to Juliette.  The writers are really taking a chance. To take a beloved character and make them worse then any villian seen so far is a gamble.

We could see the show jump the shark. There is a lot of chum in the water.

The only way to save the show is to take Juliette to a point. Where she is so tough and untouchable she can hide in plan site. Make her be aware of what she is doing. So calculating she covers all of her bases. Make her attitude be "prove it".  She never hurts anyone herself, see never orders, or blackmails someone.

She is only guilty of using her power at just the right moment to get someone else to take the blame.

      I just don't understand this.

Perhaps you've never been hurt in real life by a villain?

Villains hurt people, take lives and generally do harm. It is impossible for me to cheer for them.
If you've ever been targeted by a 'colorful badass'...you may not love them so much.

You're wrong about "Without villains there wouldn't be a need for heroes.".
When natural disasters, car accidents and building fires happen, for example...heroes jump in and rescue people, save lives.

When there are people hurt or in danger, heroes emerge and help out, because if they don't do it, no one else will.
And I thank God for them.

    • Ok, I see your point. But we are talking about a TV show. So, the villains aren't real. They are just fantasy. And yes in real life, each of us makes choices between our better and worse sides and we play out the roles of villain and hero to a much less dramatic extent. But again this is a Grimm forum. Thankfully, it is all virtual. :)

I think most of us have experienced both good and evil to some degree in our lives. And perhaps that conflict drives us to enjoy the supernatural adventure stories on TV.

If you really want a dose of real. I will share. I live near the world trade center in New York City and I witnessed the burning of the towers. That evil was unbelievable. I went to my church located a block closer to the towers and I prayed for those above the flames to be rescued by firefighters and for the flames to be extinquished. I heard the towers fall from inside the church. I heard a woman in the back of church scream as she looked out the doors and the towers were no longer standing. I hid in the church until I heard the fighter jets flying above. I completely lost it when I left the church and saw that the skyline had changed. That was real. That was evil. And I went home immediately and listened to the news of the 300 firemen who had answered my prayers and had died too. They were the heroes.

I promise you good and evil affects us all. We all have these stories. But thank God for fantasy! :)

    • In real life Adalind would be already "toast", after all she did. And about Juliette. Who knows what she will do with her powers. She might use them in a dark way to do good. law and Justice should be the same. In theory maybe not in practice.

The spiceshop: I think she forces Nick to shoot on the Vessel to destroy the potion, made for her and this ricochet will hit Monroe.

    • I don't understand why everyone loves Juliette. I personally always has hated her, now more then ever. Towards Adalind I was indifferent but now I starting to like her and I don’t think that she will double cross them. Adalind wants this babe to be with her and she knows that is only possible if she is on good terms with Nick (maybe even love sparks start to ignite, hope so). As for Juliette well I hope when Nick almost pulls the trigger to kill Monroe, his zombie emerges but now Nick have full control over it and something like this happens: Nick says “You thing you can beat me, hahaha. Think again.” Then fight her and when is to deliver the final blow shook his head and says “I will let you live this time, but if ever come or threaten me, my family or my friends I will kill you.”, then Juliette run away with tail between her legs and goes to quest for obtaining more power(offscreen). Or just get killed by Nick instead.

I don't know. I'm leary about trusting Adalind too but, doesn't it seem like she's been losing her edge? I don't think she's woged since that episode where she's taking all the pregnancy tests. I joked about all the pregnancies affecting her but, maybe the hormones are really having an effect. She certainly softened after she had Diana. She was almost becoming likeable until Diana was taken away.

I've watched that preview over and over. Doesn't it look like Rosalee has her hand raised just before Juliette throws her against the shelves? Maybe she was going to try to inject Juliette with a tranqulizer or something. We'll find out soon enough.

Yeah, that's what I saw too. Of course the irony will be if Adalind suppresses her own powers but Juiiette refuses to partake - which is what appears to be what will happen. Then Adalind is normal, pregnant, and completely vulnerable! I wonder how many more twists they have in store for us before this season ends. We know there's something really big coming in the finale that pushes Nick over the edge. In all of the interviews you can tell that trying to keep the secret is just killing the actors!

(Don't read beyond this if you don't want to read a potential spoiler)

Jack the Ripper seems to have possessed none other than Sean Renard. When they showed the killer's feet walking past Henrietta's body (R.I.P.), you can get a very clear glimpse of the shoes he's wearing. I'm almost 100% sure on this, but they are the same shoes Renard is shown wearing when he walks out of the bathroom and again when he enters Henrietta's house desperate for her help. Despite the killer's accent, the depth of his voice sounded similar to Renard's. Monroe's description of Jack the Ripper when he was reading the Diaries certainly sounded like some type of possession, but Monroe seemed to think that "the devil made me do it excuse" wasn't plausible. Keeping that in mind though, Renard has been having visions lately of something grabbing for him, something that certainly looks demonic.

Lurukenfrau may remember this, but we discussed that Renard's temporary black-outs and violent acts seemed to almost be like he was possessed by some kind of darkness. Everything just seems to fit too perfectly, and the shoes are really what did it for me. I'm not sure what the meaning of him waking up in water seems to be, other than maybe water could be symbolic of a "cleansing" of his actions and what he'd just done.

Guess we'll find out soon enough if I'm right!

    • I know that all the clues are there, that Renard is this Ripper killer...or is possessed by some centuries-old Ripper killer.

But the title of this episode is "You Don't Know Jack".
So I'm thinking...well we do know Renard, and we see the clues they are laying out, but does that mean we still 'don't know Jack'?

    • I can't bring myself to watch it! As much as I'm dying to see next week's episode, I generally enjoy the episodes a lot more when I have absolutely no clue what's going to go down. Freaking Juliette though, can't believe what she pulled at the end (no pun intended), even though I really shouldn't be surprised. I guess I was a little surprised that Nick, being a Grimm and all, couldn't resist Juliette's powers (or maybe he did?!).

Most surprising thing for me tonight though was Adalind giving up so much of her powers so quickly.  It was a weird juxtaposition there between her and Juliette--one Hexenbiest who has been Wesen nearly her whole life that was willing to suppress it so easily, and the other Hexenbiest who has been human nearly her whole life that doesn't want to go back to being human.  We all know how upset Adalind had been over losing her powers before, so it kind of seems like she's turned over a new leaf.  I hate even saying this, but I'm kind of buying into her as being trustworthy now because she did that.

I think the title is more just a play on words, kind of like how they've done it in the past with "Leave It to Beavers" and "Bears Will Be Bears".

But like everything she tends to do, she did it because it would benefit her in the future, as in possibly save her life. As much as I want to like her and trust her, I learned my lesson last season.

    • I don't even want to like her lol, so we'll see how things play out. Gotta say there is a lot of "possession" subtext in recent episodes--couldn't help but think of The Exorcist when Adalind started going crazy after taking that drink

    • Wow! Things are moving along! I have to say, not only the best episode of the season, but possibly one of my favourite episodes of the entire series!

First off, I'm pretty sure Renard is the Ripper. The only question is, what is Jack the Ripper? Why is he talking in a British accent? Maybe when Jack was killed, his spirit waited in the afterlife, and when somebody died (has to be someone honorable, like a soldier, or a police captain...) his spirit would possess them if they are brought back to life. Also, I found it interesting that Renard wakes up around water after these blackouts. I'm interested in knowing what that's all about. FYI, after the Ripper killed Henrietta and then began singing, I had to turn on the lights immediately. It scared the crap out of me, because it's so incredibly creepy.

Adalind was great, and now maybe we'll see her become a better person. Bud was great, and the fact that he doesn't know a thing about Adalind is also great!

Juliette... she needs to die, now! I understood how dark she has become, but that final scene was intense! She now views everybody as an enemy, and the fact that she's not killing Nick, but forcing him to shoot Monroe probably hurts everybody even more, especially Nick.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at...could it really be that easy?

They're going out of their way to show us all these clues that it's Renard who is 'Jack'.
But then...I go back to the title, which says "You Don't Know Jack".

Renard is not the only one who's been acting 'possessed'.
Juliette has been acting sort of possessed too.

Definitely agree that this was one of the best episodes in a long, long time. It almost felt like a month's worth of normal activity crammed into one episode. And still two more episodes to go! Might need to get doctor's approval to make sure I'm up to it!!

    • so basicly best way for waking him up or let him go or what ever is water . i thought about it when he woke up in water and first time he was in that water sqaure( sorry i dont know its English word)
but for curing him, they should pull him under water?

i was sure he is not grimm when frist girl woged for him. but i do think it sure be sean.

in spice shop. it looked like to me it is a dealing between two group people who are dealing about somthing and any wrong move make everything on a war.

to be honest i really enjoy that scene and i thought: nick is too confident to him self to do such that. i know you all like Monore as i do , but i really enjoyed juliets act.

only thing make me upset was promo.i can handle exploding annoying threting hurting and everything juliet done and i enjoy to what she is doing with her powers even not if is good. but i cant handle betrayal as she did by getting killed kelly. i know she is not dead yet . but she will.

and i think most reason she didnt took the poition beacuse she guessed that Adlind has made it. i am not sure beacuse i watched it by my poor english and no subtitle for that, but i think she said somthing like that...

but should be considered that she like her powers.

when They got the trailer only thing i was paying attention in scene and talking my self : "look nick ! that book is not complatly burned and look there it is not to too damaged ...open that damn cabinet and save the last weapons ..."

and suddenly i found my self that i am talking loud and standing on the front of computer screen!!!!

it was secont time in all grimm episodes that i found my self standing and talking to Grimm charachters...! first time was when juliet killed Rosalie in her dreams.

i dont hate juliet but i think she is going too far by helping keneth to kill kelly if that's what she is going to do. i dont know, myabe she be regret in last minutes and explode all verrat. which i really hope she does so.

if she doesnt, i would never forgive her to killed innocent people.i dont like kelly. but i dont like she die either.

      @ to every one.

anyone has any comment about what happen to that Jaw they made for juliet?

Hard NOT to notice all of those guys... Juliette and Kenneth are definitely planning on making a move, and they already have the area around Nick's place staked out.

It might seem obvious that Jack the Ripper is Renard, so here's my theory, going along with the whole "You Don't Know Jack" principle--something about his face must be different if Renard is indeed the one committing these murders.  Obviously, you can just tell by how the guy talks and walks that the killer's mannerisms are drastically different, so it might make sense that Renard's appearance has changed too.  Perhaps he looks like the soldier from a couple hundred years ago when he becomes "possessed" by Jack.

My next best guess is that the killer is old friend Nigel Edmund having risen from the dead lol. All that's missing are some rabbit feet and his axe!

Yes, the "spirit" left her body and then returned. It's only suppressed, which is what Adalind said the potion would do. Also, if you watch again you'll see that there are actually two "spirits" writhing about during her out of body experience. I assume that was Adalind's mom's Hexenbiest spirit interacting with and suppressing Adalind's own Hexenbiest spirit.

I would actually like Adalind to be one of the "good" characters, at least for awhile. The scene where she was talking to her dead mom was very touching. Especially when she says she just wants to get Diana back and be a good mom to her children. I suspect though that where there is a suppressed Hexenbiest there is hope for all the "bad Adalind" fans. :-)

She just used curing Juliette as and excuse to get the group to help retrieve her mothers body and make the potion. As we have seen all potions take a time to work. Adalind will keep her having extra power a secrete.

I wondered if Adalind taking the potion would have an effect on her son when he is born. I was kind of surprised Nick didn't bring that up right before she took it. He did after all make it clear later he would protect their boy.

It actually would be nice, even if it is awkward, to see Adalind be a good character on the show. Certainly it does seem that is happening, what with Juliette turning all evil. I'm still wondering if Nick and Adalind will continue to grow closer. Adalind I do believe wants to be a good mom to both her children, and Nick will I'm certain be a good dad to his son.

    • I wasn't expecting Adalind to go through with taking the "cure". If the spirit has left her body, she isn't a hexenbiest anymore. In such a state, she wouldn't be any use to Juliette in any ritual involving a hexenbiest.

If the spirt is going to return augmented, Adalind was taking a big risk in Juliette not taking the "cure". Last thing anyone needs is Juliette becoming more powerful.

I still think Adalind will scarper taking Diana with her, if she can find her and she'll be willing to leave.

Ha ha! Oh, I'm not committed to any particular scenario one way or the other. It's just that hope springs eternal I guess. I've been waiting for Adalind to see the light and join the right team ever since Season One. The writers are probably just setting me up for another fall. I'm a sucker for big blue eyes. LOL

Also love the scene where Adalind and Rosalee are discussing the potion. Great acting by both of them! It was interesting that Adalind referred all the way back to the beginning of the show and said that she had been happy just being a lawyer - which some people might think is not that different from being an evil witch, of course - before Sean recruited her to go after Nick's aunt. That provided a little more back story on her.

That is an interesting idea that Adalind is pulling another double-cross and that the potion would make her more powerful. That would still serve the purpose of protecting her from Juliette. And it's kind of odd that she would take the risk of suppressing her own powers when there was certainly no guarantee that Juliette would be willing to drink the potion. It's possible, it's possible.

I understand your nostalgia for the old Adalind but, it seems to me that Juliette has become the Hexenbiest that Adalind only wished she could be. Juliette has already surpurssed Adalind in raw power and once she starts learning how to cast spells, no telling how powerful she will become. I have to concur with you there! That is just a great scene. There's something exhiliarating about the way Juliette just totally dominates everyone else. And she's developing a real swagger - like when she tosses the jar up in the air and leviatates it there. The other people in the room are just toys compared to her.

I think I'm starting to think of a resolution for her that's more in line with what Syscrash53 and others have discussed. I.e., not her going completely over to the dark side, nor her returning to her old supportive role but with powers. I like the idea of her becoming an independent force with her own ambitions. Right now she's sort of overly focused on her petty feeliings of revenge for Adalind but, I would like to see her start thinking more in terms of the big picture. Prince Kenneth was certainly trying to lead her in that direction. As bad as they are, I like Kenneth and Juliette as a team, I have to say.

So, since we know from the preview that Nick doesn't shoot Monroe (we can see him standing in the background and looking hale when Trubel shows up at the spice shop,) I wonder what happens. I could go back to my original assertion that Juliette has him point the gun away at the last second. But what would be really fun would be if the gun goes off while it's pointed at Monroe, Monroe starts patting himself all over to see where he's shot, and then the camera cuts to Juliette and she's holding the bullet in her hand. The other characters would be like, "Whoa. Ok, we give!" Hee! That would probably be a little much but, it would be cool.

agree, dude. i think juliet wont shoot monroe. she didnt want to hurt anybody in spice shop. she push rosalie, hit monore but for hank, just took gun away of him. Nick is diffrent for her. and he must behave more carefully ( oh comon juliet is shaking all shop and he saw what she did to hank's gun,why he did that?!)  i mean juliet is hurted from inside. beacuse of nick. but i dont think she hates nick. she is pissed , very pissed and sad and when she know she cant do anything, she turn to angry. if you dont care for somone, you will treat them as others to them. but she didnt.

i agree with syscrash, about why juliet did it.

i am ok to all this situations and treating untill she get someone killed. in other  hand it is awesome she can do it.

Renard is Jack. When he died, the immortal spirit that is Jack was able to get into his head and come back with him. That's wyh he had that vision of the bloody hands reaching for him and why he keeps blacking out.

Looks like "Jack" was wearing a black coat in both murders, though Sean wore both a black and brown coat during the episode.  I'll tell you what though, the hat the killer was wearing is throwing me off a bit and is the only thing that gives me a tiny bit of pause.  When Sean woke up in that pool, there was no hat in sight.  Jack pops up again to kill Heidi with the same type of hat on again though.  Interesting that we didn't see if the killer was wearing a hat when Henrietta was killed...

Yeah, I know what you mean...the hat, the way of walking, Jack also looks shorter than Renard, and the accent.

If it is a possession, then Jack seems to come with his own wardrobe props.

    • Just some Random Thoughts...

Renard didn't see the vision of the 'demon hands' and start having the severe chest pains & blackouts until after he had that fight with Kenneth.
In fact, he seemed in more pain with the bleeding that broke out while he was fighting with Kenneth.

Maybe Kenneth brought this demon to town with him?
And he needed to have hands-on contact with Renard in order to transfer it to him?

I'm just guessing and speculating here, of course.
It just seems so obvious, the way they are leading us to believe that Renard is this Jack the Ripper killer...I'm wondering if they are just messing with us, and there will be a twist.

It's also interesting that they are showing us the water connection...on the heels of the Mishipeshu episode, where we saw a 'water spirit' that possessed people.

The Mishipeshu could jump from one person to another, but they had to be 'receptive' to it, from going through the dream ritual.

This Jack the Ripper creature seems to have some connection to the Wesen world.
It targets them. We don't know if it possesses only wesen people though.

The vision of the 'demon hands' appeared right after Renard had given in to Juliette's charms and betrayed his friend, Nick.
Perhaps this act of giving in to his 'dark side' made Renard more vulnerable, more receptive, to the Jack creature?

One change, the bullet is stopped in mid air right in front of monroe.  Then it drops to the ground. Emphasizing how much power Juliette has over Nick.

I am concerned about Juliette setting up Kelly. Without having a twist it would be out of character. So far Juliette has not hurt anyone. Whhy would Juliette put Kelly in harms way. Juliette cleared the in box, but did not clear the sent box. Is it a writer oversite. or does it have a purpose.

My problem with a fake death is what about the body. The last time Kelly faked her death the body was identified by personal effects. If after the fight with the Royals and the death of Kelly and Diana. The Royals leave thinking like everyone else that Diana and Kelly are dead. The body problem would not be an issue if NIck and Adalind  afterward agree, Kelly and Diana need to stay dead for everyones safety. Nick and Adalind's discovery of the faked death would be in season 5.

We as viewers are left with not being sure if Juliette was in on the fake death or not. As viewers the fake death will be ambiguious. The cliff hanger will be seeing a women in a hood with a little girl getting on a bus.

Kenneth is a kehrseite so he would not have been able to see the girls woge.  Like the ripper said he wanted something a kehrseite wouldn't understand.

Yes I think so too. The demon takes over the body of people we have been dead but returned, like Jack the Ripper and the story Monreo discoverd in the book, that was a soldier. He kills the people with his black nails. No idea why he is after women, who are all wesen. I assume that will be revealed in season 5. Hopefully with help of the wesen council the demon and Sean can be seperated again.

Ha ha! Oh, I'm not committed to any particular scenario one way or the other. It's just that hope springs eternal I guess.

It's O.K. At least you're honest. I 've also a weakness for blondes,  XXD  but in this case not for Adalind. I agree that double-crossing would be more "Adalind" like. If the potion make her stronger I doubt, but at least it would save her powers. I talk about the contract she signed with Stephania. No contract in the world has no condition about the case you not fulfill it. So a connection with her mother's forces would make sense. The "Gang" has no idea what Adalind is cooking. They must trust her.

Why should she help Juliette ? Adalind  likes to drive a wedge between Nick and Juliette. If she can not be happy, why should others be ? Deep in her heart, she despise Nick. To think she is suddenly "Mother Teresa" is a complete nonsense. As she said to Kenneth, Juliette is accepting her Hexenbiest.  We all discussed about the baby, it must be Nick's baby. But face for one moment the impossible and it would not be his son. "Medical sensation! Pregnant woman is pregnant again" 2007.

And we are talking about magic. Maybe she has no idea or she feels something get wrong. However the timeline convince everyone. So she lies or tells the truth.? Who knows. And again she gets what she wants and till the others wake up, she's already gone.

Then he would made a fool of himself and the "Gang" and Adalind had gained across the board again.

    • Or, it's not two souls one body, but one soul two bodies. What if whatever Renard brought back is not in him, but has escaped out of him? Jack the Ripper looks like an exact copy of Renard, but the reason why Renard is blacking out is so Jack could Renard's mind to keep him conscious? Sort of like an evil twin thing going on. Renard himself isn't doing it, but a second exact copy of him, Jack the Ripper, is using his mind to commit these murders? It's a bit far out there, and this is about as best as I can explain it.

If a person is being possessed by a former Grimm, maybe others can sometimes see the darkness in their eyes that Wesen can see. But I'm not sure because neither girl in the episode said anything about their attacker being a Grimm when they were woged. Or maybe he had sunglasses on at night

Sean is not the Ripper. It came back with him from "The other side", queue spooky music

Adelind is not to be trusted. She might be learning that perhaps she is nothing more than a brooding mare to the Royals and she is easily replaced. She may need help, but she's finding out she's burned too many bridges

Juliette is doing 1 of the following:

1: Playing a very dangerous game pretending to be allied with the Royals to learn what they are up to

2: Gone off the deep end because she has powers of a truly despicable Wesen

3: Mad with power and looking to off "All the reasons" in her life that turned it upside down

Nick was forced to SHOOT AT but will not hit Monroe. Julietette will stop the bullet to show how powerful she is

No offense to anybody, but I'm kind of annoyed with people saying Kenneth is a Grimm or some Wesen. It has been confirmed multiple times that Royals are humans with a lot of money, no special abilities. It's quite simple to explain why Kenneth fought on equal (for the most part) grounds with Renard. He seems highly trained in hand to hand combat. Also, him getting up after being hit by Renard, probably a combination of adrenaline and a high tolerance to pain. Still, he's very dangerous.

    • I'm starting to question wether or not Renard is the Ripper. The Ripper being shorter it was got me, but it could be that Renard is kind of hunched over, a little? Also, it doesn't make a lot of sense that Renard's black outs turn from punching people in the face and taking their wallets, to not only slicing people's throats and cutting out organs, but also dressing a specific way, walking a specific way, and, where does he get a scalpel from? Still, maybe there is a chance that the change is part of the Ripper slowly overtaking him.

I'm liking to think of this Jack the Ripper copycat to what I originally thought he would be, a horrible psychopathic and insane Grimm. It would explain why he is going after Wesen. Also, maybe he's wearing contacts. Would that be able to prevent Wesen seeing him? Also, it's nighttime, so maybe the Wesen just don't see it. Also, I remember hearing that we would see a third key this season (though the creators could've changed their minds about that or worse, forgot), so maybe this Grimm has a key, and wants to steal the other two Nick has, and is just killing for fun. What an awful person.

    • I doubt the creators forgot about the third key. There's still 2 episodes, but with everything going on they may have pushed the key plot into next season where it is supposedly getting resolved

I liked her so much! One more powerful and, at the same time, kind and good Hexenbiest. Now, the producers have weakened Adalind and, yet, let Juliette as powerful as always and more bitch than ever. Serious, what the **** they are intending to do, screwing the whole story like that?

    • Yeah Monroe when he was explaining how a wesen can tell they are looking at a grimm.

He says that the black eyes relfect all the darkness in the wesons soul that is seeing the black reflection in the grimms eyes, I don't think from that you could see any differentiation in a grimms personality from their eyes, Monroe says nicks eyes become like a mirror that shows the wesen looking into the grimms eyes his or her true nature. I cannot find the episode that Monroe covers this but I am pretty sure about it.

Was thinking that those red arms reaching for Renard are some malevolent entity that gained access to him through the two headed snake voodoo? Like Elizabeth said there will be consequences. Only problem is the killers shoes look the same but almost an inch shorter than the captains..

"- It's your eyes. - My eyes? It's how we know you're a Grimm after we woge.

      - Not exactly black.

      No, you're right, actually.

      Black's too weak a word.

      It's more like infinite darkness.

And we see ourselves reflected in that darkness.

We see our true wesen nature.

Took me a while to get used to that." I believe is Monroes responce to that.
