He denied any knowledge of his wife's activities until Nick Burkhardt told him he knew he was a Spinnetod and revealed himself to be a Grimm. He then told Nick the story of how, against odds, two Spinnetods had fallen in love during high school.

Sally stole the watch and traded it at school for a mountain bike. The Principal found out about the trade and called the police. After Nick arrested Lena, Nick and Hank went back to Cindy's home to pick her up. Sally was worried about her parents and asked Nick and Hank about them when she was in their police vehicle, and Nick saw Sally's Wesen form in the mirror, implying the le retour d'age cycle may begin again.

Monroe is a friend of Charlotte's and had Nick come along so he could ask her some questions. She revealed that female Spinnetods had to kill three young men every five years due to le retour d'age. This allowed the Spinnetods to reverse the rapid aging process that plagued their species. She also said that Spinnetods were inexplicably attracted to shiny objects and were considered the magpies of the Grimm world. Charlotte did not wear shiny objects because she was reformed.
