Lauren Castro is a district attorney who campaigned for mayor of Portland, Oregon.

"To Protect and Serve Man"[]
While running for mayor, Castro took exception to Hank Griffin and Nick Burkhardt inquiring into the murder for which Craig Ferren was convicted and was about to be executed. After Hank and Nick discovered evidence that Ferren may have killed in self-defense, Castro called the governor of Oregon, who ordered a stay of execution just before Ferren was to be executed. Castro later praised police officers in a speech.

Castro was the lead prosecutor in Don Nidaria's murder trial. She had what looked to be an open-and-shut case but watched as the defense attorney, Barry Kellogg, used his attributes as a Ziegevolk to cause witnesses to change their stories without Castro knowing that he was Wesen. Ultimately, she won the case because Rosalee Calvert found out how to overcome Kellogg's abilities with a Geruck Gland Neutralizing Potion.
