"Big Feet"[]

He was an identity doctor for Wesen who were trying to control their inner creature selves. His form constantly rippled rather than fully wogeing because he had learned to control his inner Wildermann.
Brinkerhoff's preferred method for helping counter one's woge was the "talking cure," encouraging Wesen to form support groups and share their concerns regarding therapy. Brinkerhoff published a book about the "inner man".
At some point Brinkerhoff began hearing rumors that there were Grimm in Portland, but he thought it was just mass hysteria, and continued to focus on his newest project: finding a chemical therapeutic solution for wesen with self-control issues.
Brinkerhoff's chemical therapeutic solution was made from herbs, spices, and trace amounts of steroids, all of these later confirmed by the Portland Police Bureau not to be illegal substances. The mixture was pumped subcutaneously into the back of the patient's neck, and its purpose was to inhibit neural signals known to promote a woge.
Unfortunately, presumably due to lack of funds, Brinkerhoff wasn't able to conduct the necessary preliminary tests on the drugs, resulting in him skipping medical protocol and testing them upon his willing test subjects. He presumably first experimented on himself, and seeing that the therapy worked, decided to give it to volunteers willing to accept it.
Brinkerhoff's initial three new test subjects were Larry Mackenzie (a patient of Brinkerhoff's), Alan Evercroft, and Dan Murray (all of them Wildermann, himself included). Evercroft and Murray were found and recruited by Larry Mackenzie. Another man, Reynaldo, was approached with the opportunity to test this therapy, but he declined since he didn't support "cure-alls."
Unfortunately, Larry Mackenzie began to suffer withdrawal symptoms when his medication was reduced, woging into his Wesen form and unable to return to normal. Furthermore, he became violent, killing a cryptozoologist and nearly killing a horse.
Following Larry's death, Brinkerhoff was approached by the inspector Nick Burkhardt, during a talk that he was giving to a group of Wesen struggling to control their other side. Nick asked about Larry at which point Brunkerhoff woged without actually transforming due to his medication, which is when he discovered that Nick was a Grimm and that the rumors he heard were true. Brinkerhoff spoke to Nick privately, informing him of the support group for Wesen who have difficulty controlling their other side, as well as offering him help dealing with his identity issues due to his status as a Grimm (considering it a great opportunity for study).
Following Alan's death and the reveal of Dan's death 2 days earlier, Brinkerhoff wrote down symptoms on a notepad which were similar to those Larry demonstrated. Brinkerhoff appeared to be struggle with control himself, when Monroe knocked on the door. Monroe confronted Brinkerhoff about what happened to his friends, and Brinkerhoff tried to get him to leave but was unsuccessful and woged, losing control. Nick and Hank arrived just in time to scare Brinkerhoff away from Monroe, causing Brinkerhoff to run off into the city and attack civilians. He ended up in a theater, where he took a woman captive. Nick and Hank chased him into the light rigging area above the theater seating, where Nick found the woman alive but unconscious, whilst Brinkerhoff hid above. Before Brinkerhoff could pounce on Nick, Hank shot Brinkerhoff, causing him to fall into the theater. Leaving Drew Wu to tend to the unconscious woman, Nick and Hank went down to Brinkerhoff's body where he was still woged. Both Hank and Nick watched as Brinkerhoff woged back into his human form as he passed away.

Trivia[]
- The first name Konstantin is a derivation from the Latin name Constantinus (Constantine), meaning "constant" or "steadfast," while the surname Brinkerhoff has Dutch and German origins meaning "home on or near a hill," or rather more fittingly, "on the brink."[1]
- Brinkerhoff was the first Wesen that Hank saw woge, as Brinkerhoff retracted back to his human form after he died.
