Jacques was a person to whom Captain Renard spoke to on the phone. He lived in Paris.

He apparently understood the significance of the coins. Renard called him to inform him about them, and he told Renard that he needed to be cautious.
Renard called to tell Jacques that he had been threatened with having his identity revealed to the Grimm. He told Sean to be careful, noting that "they" caught and killed someone named Gustavo, whose body was fished out of the Danube River. Sean suggested that Eric Renard was making a move and that the Verrat was behind what was happening. Jacques agreed, adding that someone named Danilov was in control. As the two disconnected, Jacques was attacked by a Hundjäger.
