Opening Quote: "How the silly frog does talk! He can be no companion to any human being." – The Frog Prince

Scene: Juliette goes into Renard's room and wakes him up when she puts Adalind's book onto his bed.

Juliette: There's nothing in here.
Renard: What?
Juliette: For me or for you. Now where is your mother? She did this to me.
Renard: Juliette, she said there was a possibility of some side effects. She didn't know this would happen to you. Now, please. You need to calm down.
Juliette: No, I'm done calming down, okay? You and Nick and Adalind and all of this Wesen insanity, I am so sick of it. Okay, I was normal before I met all of you. I want my life back. And if I don't get it...
Renard: What?
Juliette: You better watch out. [She leaves, slamming the door]

Scene: A group of bikers ride along a trail.

[After riding for awhile, the bikers come to a stop]
Rick: Hey, Bella. You were pumping it today. Great ride, huh? Of course, I had the best view. I was right behind you.
Bella: My view was better. You weren't in it.
Rick: [He laughs] When are we gonna go for a ride together, just the two of us? Bikes optional.
Zack: Knock it off, Ricky.
Rick: Knock what off?
[Bella rides away]
Zack: Just leave her alone.
Rick: Oh, oh, you're her bodyguard now.
Zack: You know what I'm saying.
Rick: Yeah, I know what you're saying. You're in love. [He makes kissing sounds]
Zack: Shut up.
[Bella rides along the path, but she crashes her bike and flips over her handlebars]
Zack: [Riding up] Bella. Bella, are you all right?
Bella: Oh, yeah, I'm okay.
Zack: Are you sure nothing's broken?
Bella: Yeah.
Zack: Good thing I was following you.
Bella: Following me? Why?
Zack: I just need to talk to you. I'm sorry about what happened.
Bella: Oh, it's okay. Rick's a jerk. You can't change that. Look, I got to go.
Zack: Just hold on. You're-you're always in such a hurry.
Bella: Zack, I really got to go. [She goes to pick up her bike]
Zack: [He tries to touch Bella] No, look, you're bleeding.
Bella: Don't.
Zack: I'm not making this up.
Bella: I'm okay.
Zack: Look, Bella. I like you. I think you're really great, if you'd just slow down long enough to have a conversation—
Bella: No. Now, look, Zack. You're a really nice guy and everything, okay, but I can't. Oh, God. [She turns her body] Oh, God, get away! You have to go.
Zack: What did I do?
Bella: Don't touch me.
Zack: You're hurt.
Bella: [She turns her back to Zack] Please.
Zack: [He puts his hands on Bella's shoulders] Look, I'm not leaving you. I'm in love with you.
Bella: Don't touch me. [Zack briefly touches her neck] No! [She woges into a Folterseele and turns around] I told you. [She gets on her bike and rides away]
Zack: [He starts having trouble breathing] What's happening? [He gasps and falls backwards down a hill]

Scene: Nick calls Juliette while sitting at a table in a restaurant but gets her voice mail.

Nick: Juliette, it's me. Call me. I don't know what else to say. [He hangs up]
Hank: [Walking up] You order yet?
Nick: No.
Hank: You going to order?
Nick: Nah.
Hank: Something going on?
Nick: Juliette walked out.
Hank: What, you guys have a fight?
Nick: A fight, I could deal with. This... not so much.
Hank: What happened?
Nick: You know what we had to go through to undo what Adalind did?
Hank: Yeah.
Nick: Well, there was a side effect.
Hank: You all right?
Nick: Yeah, it's... it's not what happened to me.
Hank: I don't like where this is going.
Nick: It doesn't get any better. Juliette's a Hexenbiest.
Hank: Run that past me again.
Nick: I knew something was wrong. I just didn't know what. And she was trying to figure out a way to tell me, but she just she couldn't.
Hank: So how'd you find out? [Flashback of Juliette showing Nick she's a Hexenbiest in "Trial by Fire"] How is this possible?
Nick: I don't know. If I knew, I would never have put her through this.
Hank: All right, so what are you going to do?
Nick: I don't know. I don't even know what I'm dealing with. Neither does she. I don't have a lot of luck with Hexenbiests.
Hank: And she might be afraid of what you might do to her. Oh, man, this is really messed up.
Nick: Yeah.
Hank: Can you undo it?
Nick: Not from what I'm told.
Hank: [He chuckles] Man, no wonder you're not hungry. If there's anything I can do to help...
Nick: Right now, she's not even talking to me. [His phone rings and he answers] Burkhardt. Where? All right. [He hangs up] Got a dead body at Mount Tabor Park.
[Hank sighs]

Scene: Nick and Hank meet Wu at the scene.

Wu: Cyclist discovered a bike on the trail up there and a helmet, then saw the body down here. Looks like some kind of allergic reaction, but I doubt it's to the flora or fauna.
Nick: It doesn't look like acid. Face isn't burned.
Hank: My guess is, it happened up there. He was either overcome by something that happened earlier, like maybe he ate something that didn't agree with him in a big way.
Nick: [Looking at Zack's ID] Zack Blumenthal, 26 years old. Lives over on Thurman. [He hands Zack's wallet and ID to Wu]
Wu: Organ donor, but I think that ship has sailed.
Nick: [He takes keys out of Zack's pocket] Do we think this is a homicide or an accident?
Wu: Or neither?
Hank: I figure we should wait for the M.E. report.
Nick: Why don't we check out his place? Hopefully, one of these keys will open it up.
Wu: Yeah.

Scene: Nick and Hank go to Zack's apartment.

Nick: Police! Anybody home? [He opens the door] Police! Coming in! [He and Hank start looking around]
Hank: Drawings of shoes. Designer. Interesting.
Nick: Well, it looks like he lives alone.
Hank: Not that that's a bad thing.
Nick: Yeah.
Hank: Do Monroe and Rosalee know about Juliette?
Nick: Nope, just you.
Hank: You know you got to tell them.
Nick: Maybe she already has.
Hank: Got a photo. A woman. Pretty.
Nick: Got his laptop. And drawings of a woman.
Hank: [Holding the picture next to the drawings] She looks the same.
Nick: Sister? Girlfriend?
Hank: Definitely not his mother.
Nick: Well, he's paying this much attention to her, we better figure out who she is.

Scene: Bella calls her mom.

Bella: [Tearfully] Mom?
Cindy: What's wrong?
Bella: It happened. I couldn't stop it.
Cindy: Where are you?
Bella: I'm at home.
Cindy: The body there?
Bella: No. I am so sorry. I am so sorry.
Cindy: Stay there. I'm on my way.
[Bella sighs and hangs up]

Scene: Sam Damerov meets with Renard in his office.

Damerov: Prince Viktor's been sent back to Vienna.
Renard: What?
Damerov: I just found out myself.
Renard: My father must have grown impatient with him. Is Viktor dead?
Damerov: [He sighs] Don't know.
Renard: What about Adalind?
Damerov: Haven't heard anything about her.
Renard: Who's replacing Viktor?
Damerov: I don't think anybody knows. At least they're not telling me. They didn't get rid of Viktor because he's moving too fast. They want Kelly Burkhardt and that child. If you want me to go back there, you got to give me something to show them.
Renard: Yeah, I've got it ready. [He sighs] You give them this. [He hands Damerov a file] It'll look like you're making progress.
Damerov: Any of it true?
Renard: Enough to make it plausible.
[Damerov leaves]

Scene: Bella talks with her mom.

Bella: I didn't mean to hurt him. I didn't even know he liked me.
Cindy: You're a beautiful girl, Bella.
Bella: I didn't do anything to encourage him, Mom. I swear. What do I do?
Cindy: You just go on with your life as though nothing has happened.
Bella: How can I?
Cindy: What happened is not your fault.
Bella: And what if somebody finds out?
Cindy: No one can prove you did anything.
Bella: I still killed him, Mom.
Cindy: You do nothing. You say nothing. You understand? Or do you want your life ruined the way mine was? [She turns her head, showing the branded side of her face]

Scene: Wu shows Nick and Hank what he found on Zack's laptop.

Wu: Looked through the vic's laptop. Emails are pretty innocuous. Nothing noteworthy in his search history. He played a lot of CS: GO. Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Online tactical first-person shooter game. Awesome in every way. So I heard. And then there were these. [He pulls up multiple pictures of Bella]
Hank: Same woman he had a photo of on his fridge. Looks like she wasn't aware anyone was taking her photo.
Wu: There is more of our mystery girl on Zack's page.
Hank: She definitely meant something to this guy.
Nick: Do any of these photos link to her page?
Wu: No, they're not tagged, and she doesn't seem to have her own page, but... check this out, I've clicked on the photos. They're tagged to River City Riders. They meet up for group rides a few times a week. And here she is on their homepage.
Hank: Next ride is scheduled for today, starting at Harvey Scott Memorial at Mount Tabor Park.
Nick: That's pretty close to where Zack's body was found.
Hank: Well, let's see if she shows.

Scene: Nick and Hank go to Mount Tabor Park.

Nick: Excuse me.
Damon: Is there a problem?
Hank: Do you know a Zack Blumenthal?
Damon: Yeah, I know him. If you're looking for him, he hasn't shown up yet.
Nick: Well, I'm sorry, but Zack's dead.
Damon: What? Oh, my God.
Rick: What do you mean, Zack's dead?
Hank: His body was found yesterday morning off one of the trails.
Rick: Did he crash? What happened?
Nick: We're still trying to figure that out. And we're hoping to talk to whoever saw him last.
Damon: He was here for yesterday's ride. We all saw him.
Hank: Anyone see him leave?
Rick: Yeah, I saw him leave. He went after Bella.
Nick: Is she here?
Damon: No, haven't seen her today.
Hank: Is this Bella? [He shows the picture from Zack's house]
Damon: Yes.
Rick: Yeah, that's her. Bella Turner.
Nick: What was Zack's relationship with Bella?
Damon: I don't think he had one.
Rick: Nobody does with her.
Hank: What do you mean?
Damon: She's nice, but she kind of keeps to herself. She likes to ride more than she likes to hang out.
Rick: She never hangs out.
Hank: Any reason why Zack would have a bunch of pictures of her at his house?
Rick: Yeah, I think he's in love with her. She never paid any attention to him.
Hank: You know where she lives?
Rick: No. I mean, she never really talks. She's a real pedal masher. Nobody knows where she lives, only where she works. City Bikes on Ankeny?
[Nick's phone rings so he steps aside]
Hank: I'm gonna need to get your guys' names.
Nick: [Answering his phone] Wu, what do you got?
Wu: Prelim tox report from the M.E.
Nick: Anything in Zach's medical records about lethal allergies?
Wu: No, Zack Blumenthal was killed by a toxin that caused acute systolic heart failure. Basically, this guy's heart broke. However, this toxin doesn't really exist.
Nick: And by "doesn't really exist," you mean what?
Wu: It's most closely related to Phyllobates terribilis, a frog from the Colombian jungles, but not exactly. It's a batrachotoxin, which is only found in three poisonous frogs from Colombia and three poisonous birds from Papua New Guinea. And I'm not even gonna try to pronounce the name of said frogs and birds. And let me just add one ounce of this poison kills 10,000 mice, 10-20 humans, and 2 African bull elephants. How do I know this? I looked it up.
Hank: So where did the poison that killed Zack come from?
Wu: I think it's got to be Wesen.
Hank: How did the M.E. explain it?
Wu: She couldn't.
Nick: All right, we got a name for the woman in the photos. It's Bella Turner.
Wu: Got it. I'll run a background.

Scene: Adalind talks with Rispoli while he eats.

Adalind: Why hasn't Viktor called? Is he still alive?
Rispoli: You shouldn't worry about Viktor anymore.
Adalind: Well, you're awfully loyal.
Rispoli: I'm loyal to the Family, not to any particular member.
Adalind: Am I a member of that Family?
Rispoli: Your child is.
Adalind: I thought that's why we came here. Is anybody doing anything about finding her?
Rispoli: Believe me, the Family knows how important she is. The King is doing everything he can to- [His phone rings] Excuse me. [Answering his phone] Yes? When? No. We'll be ready. [He hangs up]
Adalind: Ready for what?
Rispoli: [To a guard] Take care of this. [To Adalind] You might want to change into something more appropriate.
Adalind: Why?
Rispoli: Well, I wouldn't want to meet Prince Kenneth in a robe.
Adalind: Prince Kenneth? Do you know him?
Rispoli: By reputation.
Adalind: Well, what's he like?
Rispoli: Results.

Scene: Nick and Hank go to Bella's workplace.

Hank: If Zack went after Bella, caught up with her, are we thinking she's a witness to what happened or involved?
Nick: Might be either.
Hank: What's the motive? They supposedly had no relationship.
Nick: Maybe Zack thought they did.
Hank: All right, before we go in, are we thinking Bella's Wesen?
Nick: Well, could be.
Hank: If she is, we don't know what we're dealing with.
Nick: Only way we'll know is if I get her to woge.
Hank: If she is, let me know?
Nick: If I pull my gun, that'll be a good indication. [He and Hank go inside and are directed to Bella by the store's owner] Bella Turner.
Bella: Yeah.
Hank: You know Zack Blumenthal?
Bella: Yeah, we're in the same cycling club. Why?
Nick: Well, his body was found yesterday off of one of the biking trails.
Bella: Oh, my God. Zack's dead? What happened?
Nick: We were hoping you could help us figure that out.
Bella: Me?
Hank: We talked to some of your cycling club. They said Zack followed you. We were wondering if you saw him again after yesterday's ride.
Bella: Uh, yeah. Yeah, he caught up to me on the trail.
Nick: Did you two talk?
Bella: A little.
Hank: What about?
Bella: Look, um, Zack was interested in going out, and I wasn't, so I told him, and, you know, got on my bike and left. That was the last I saw him.
Nick: So you two weren't having a relationship.
Bella: No.
Hank: But he wanted to.
Bella: Yes, and I told him I wasn't interested.
Hank: How did he respond to that? Was he upset?
Bella: I don't know! Maybe, a little. But that's not my fault. Look, Zack didn't do anything, okay? I just left.
Nick: Did he take his helmet off?
Bella: What?
Nick: When you were with him on the trail, did he take his helmet off?
Bella: Yeah, I guess.
Hank: We found his helmet and his bicycle on the trail and his body in the ravine.
Nick: So you had to have been with him at the same place that he died. Come on, Bella. You were with him. Have you ever heard of batrachotoxin?
Bella: No.
Nick: It's a poison that stops the heart and makes you look like this. [He shows Bella a picture of Zack's body on his phone]
Bella: What does this have to do with me? How would I even do something like that? You're free to check my gear. If you guys think I have whatever that poison is, then go ahead. Take a look. That's my bike right there.
Nick: Well, that won't be necessary. If you think of anything, give us a call. [He gives Bella his card, and he and Hank leave]
Hank: She didn't woge?
Nick: Nope.
Hank: Well, she seemed pretty upset. Is she Wesen or not?
Nick: Well, if she is, she's good at hiding it.
Hank: If she is, we better find out what kind of Wesen we're dealing with.

Scene: Adalind works on figuring out what to wear before Kenneth arrives.

[The door opens]
Adalind: [She gasps] Excuse me. Aren't you supposed to knock before entering?
Rispoli: He's here.
Adalind: In the hotel?
Rispoli: Closer.
Adalind: Okay, well, just—
Rispoli: Prince Kenneth, may I present Adalind Schade?
Adalind: I...
Kenneth: So you're the Hexenbiest mother of the child everyone's so obsessed with.
Adalind: Yes.
Kenneth: I'm here for one reason, and that's to get your child back to the Family. I understand you made contact with Mr. Burkhardt's girlfriend. Juliette.
Adalind: I did.
Kenneth: And how did that go?
Adalind: Nick is a Grimm again.
Kenneth: [Looking at Rispoli] I was told you took care of that.
Adalind: I did, but he figured out a way to undo it.
Kenneth: That's possible?
Adalind: I didn't think so. But it does explain why Juliette is now a Hexenbiest. I want that bitch dead.
Kenneth: Any other surprises for me? [He opens Adalind's robe and sees her pregnant stomach] Oh. You're full of surprises. Whose child is this?
Adalind: Viktor's.

Scene: Nick and Hank go talk to Monroe and Rosalee at the spice shop.

Rosalee: If it's secreting batrachotoxins through its skin, then touching is deadly.
Monroe: And you're saying she didn't woge.
Nick: No.
Monroe: See, I was thinking it was a Peau de la Mort, but those rascals, you sneeze and they woge.
Rosalee: I think you're dealing with a Folterseele.
Hank: What is that?
Rosalee: Well, they're kind of classically tragic. Always beautiful, always deadly.
Monroe: Really? You think a Folterseele.
Rosalee: They're kind of rare, thank God, and they don't woge like any other Wesen.
Hank: Then how do they woge?
Rosalee: Well, it's not an emotional response. It's more of a physical sexual one.
Nick: So, like, when they're aroused?
Rosalee: It's not them; it's whoever's turned on by them. It's a defense mechanism.
Monroe: Yeah, an extremely offensive defense mechanism.
Nick: Well, no wonder they're rare.
Hank: That sounds like the old Frog Prince story.
Monroe: Yeah, but you kiss this frog, your face blows up and you die.
Nick: Wait, let me see if I can get this straight. The only way you can get a Folterseele to woge is if you're sexually attracted to her?
Rosalee: Yeah, basically.
Hank: So we can't tie her to the crime and we can't make her woge. Interrogation room's not gonna work on this one.
Monroe: Unless you guys get in there and one of you is, like, totally into her, and then—
Rosalee: Really?
Monroe: Well, why not?
Nick: So we can't make the arrest 'cause we don't have any evidence, and I won't know if she's a Folterseele 'cause I can't get her to woge.
Rosalee: Look, if you are dealing with the Folterseele, she's not doing this on purpose. She's probably trying to avoid it. A lot of men can't control themselves around the female Folterseele.
Hank: Well, that's probably why she keeps to herself.
Monroe: Exactly. So maybe you guys need to just let this one go, you know, let the sleeping Folterseele lie.
Nick: It could happen again.
Rosalee: [She sighs] What if we, I don't know, neutralize what's happening to her, kind of like we did with that toad-eating lawyer?
Hank: Is that possible?
Monroe: Won't know till we try.
Nick: Try.
Rosalee: Okay, I'll let you know what I find out.

Scene: Adalind gets dressed and then goes to talk with Kenneth.

Kenneth: Have you told Viktor the blessed news?
Adalind: Not yet. Uh... I-I was about to.
Kenneth: Right. Well, I'm sure he'll be thrilled.
Rispoli: [He walks up] Damerov is here, sir.
Kenneth: Bring him in. Hopefully, he has good news about the whereabouts of your... other child.
[Damerov comes in]
Kenneth: You were expecting Prince Viktor?
Damerov: Yes.
Kenneth: He's been recalled. I'm Kenneth. I've heard a lot about you, Sam. Have you found Kelly Burkhardt or Adalind's child?
Damerov: Not yet, but I've made progress.
Kenneth: Progress? Is that what's in the briefcase?
Damerov: Yes. [He takes out the file from Renard and Rispoli takes it from him to hand to Kenneth] We know that she sold the truck in Spokane. We believe she's still in the area with the child.
Kenneth: You know, the problem with being a double agent, Sam, is that you never really know where your loyalties lie.
Damerov: I work for the Family, sir.
Kenneth: Not anymore. [He starts punching and kicking Damerov, knocking him to the ground.]
Damerov: Aah!
Kenneth: [To Adalind] I'm a little more hands-on than Viktor, who, I'm sorry to say, is sterile. So you might want to rethink who the father is.

Scene: Rick goes to see Bella at work.

Rick: Hey, Bella.
Bella: Sorry, Ricky, we're closing.
Rick: I didn't come about my bike. You heard about Zack?
Bella: I can't believe it.
Rick: You doing okay?
Bella: Yeah. Thanks.
Rick: You know, Zack was pretty stupid about you.
Bella: What are you talking about?
Rick: [He laughs] You're telling me you didn't know he was in love with you.
Bella: I just want to be left alone, okay?
Rick: [He clicks his tongue] But he was never good enough for you, was he?
Bella: You got to go. I got to lock up.
Rick: It's too bad about Zack. He was always watching your back. And such a nice back.
Bella: Get out.
Rick: You're a stuck-up bitch who thinks she's too good for anybody.
Bella: Ricky, what are you doing?
Rick: Zack was an okay guy, and now he's dead, and I think it's because of you, so I came to get what you never gave him. [He woges into a Klaustreich]
[Bella hits Rick in the face with the front tire of a bike on a rack. Rick retracts as Bella runs, and he goes after her and grabs her]
Bella: No, no, no! You don't know what's gonna happen.
Rick: Yeah, I do. [He kisses Bella and she woges] What the hell? [He starts gasping and holds his throat] What are you?
Bella: [She retracts as Rick stumbles and falls. She runs to the phone to call 911] Hurry! If you don't get here fast... He's dying, and I don't know what to do! [She hangs up and runs as Rick struggles to breathe, and he holds his chest]

Scene: Nick calls Juliette.

Nick: Juliette, where the hell are you? Just answer your damn phone. [He hangs up as his computer beeps. He checks his email and notices an email from Trubel updating him on Josh and asking if things are okay. He thinks about it and tells her everything is fine as Juliette arrives]
Juliette: Nick?
Nick: Juliette.
Juliette: I need to get some of my stuff.
Nick: What, so you're just moving out?
Juliette: I was hoping you wouldn't be home.
Nick: Can we talk about this?
Juliette: There's really nothing you or anybody else can say or do. This is who I am.
Nick: Juliette, this is my fault, and if there's anything I could do to change it, I would.
Juliette: I know that.
Nick: I haven't given up yet.
Juliette: Why not?
Nick: Because I love you.
Juliette: [She laughs] That's-that's great. That's really great.
Nick: Juliette- [His phone rings]
Juliette: Answer it. Come on, Nick. There's a lot of big, scary Wesen on the loose in Portland. That's what you're good at. Go get 'em, Grimm. [She walks away]
Nick: [He answers his phone] Hank. Where?

Scene: Nick meets Hank and Wu at the bike shop.

Hank: This is Rick Thornton, one of the guys from the cycling club.
Nick: Wouldn't be able to tell from looking at him. Who called 911?
Wu: Came from the shop phone, woman's voice. No identity was given. Call ended eight seconds after it was made.
Nick: We think that was Bella?
Hank: That's what I'm thinking. You run a background on her?
Wu: I did. She was clean. Not even a traffic ticket.
Hank: Anyone else on the premises?
Wu: No, not when we got here. Shop was unlocked. Alarm had not been set. We contacted the owner. He was at home. Got here about five minutes ago.
Nick: All right, let's talk to him. [He and Hank go talk to Felix Azaceta]
Hank: What time did you close up tonight?
Felix: I didn't. I left early. Bella stayed late. She was supposed to close up. Those are her keys on the floor over there.
[Wu picks the keys up]
Felix: Is that guy really dead?
Nick: I'm afraid so.
Felix: Bella's not back there, is she?
Hank: No.
Felix: [He sighs] I tried to get a hold of her as soon as I heard. She's-she's not answering. I'm really worried about her.
Nick: Do you have Bella's home address?
Felix: Yeah, yeah, I got it on my phone.

Scene: Nick, Hank, and Wu go to Bella's apartment.

Hank: [He knocks] Bella, it's the police. We need you to open up. Bella.
[Nick uses Bella's key to unlock the door and they all go in]
Hank: Clear.
Wu: Bedroom clear.
Nick: I got some photos.
Wu: [Looking at a photo of Bella's mom] That's a nasty scar. Looks like some kind of burn.
Hank: Could that be her mother?
Nick: I think we ought to find out.

Scene: Renard gets a call from Damerov.

Renard: [Answering his phone] It's about time. How'd it go?
[Damerov is in a warehouse with Kenneth, Rispoli, and Verrat agents. A Verrat agent holds the phone up to Damerov's ear to talk to Renard]
Damerov: I gave them the information.
Renard: Did they replace Viktor?
Damerov: They did. Prince Kenneth is now in charge.
Renard: Kenneth. I know of him. I just don't know much about his branch of the Family.
Damerov: We shouldn't underestimate him. I got the impression he doesn't have much patience. He wants Kelly Burkhardt and the child. I'm gonna need to deliver something real soon.
Renard: Well, I'll come up with something.
Damerov: No, we can't keep stalling. If he finds out I'm working for you... [He looks at Kenneth] I'm dead. I'm not sure we should even be talking about this on the phone.
Renard: Well, then come to my office.
Damerov: No, it's too dangerous now. I don't trust them. And they probably don't trust me.
Renard: All right, then where?
Damerov: I told them I was going back to Spokane tonight. Meet me at the... Willamette Paper Mill.
[Kenneth holds up nine fingers]
Damerov: At 9:00. You got to have something I can give them by then. It's my life on the line here. Don't screw with me. You'll regret it.
[The Verrat agent hangs the phone up]
Kenneth: Bravo. I think we're good here. [He gets a gun from Rispoli and shoots Damerov in the head]

Scene: Bella arrives at her mom's house and goes into a shed where she sits down, upset about what happened at the bike shop.

Scene: Nick and Hank look up information on Bella's mom at the precinct.

Hank: Got something interesting here on Bella's mom. Police report from 1989. Cindy Turner was victim of a rape.
Nick: That's her? No scarring.
Hank: Well, the picture was taken 24 years ago. Same night she was attacked.
Nick: "Suspect William Ashford attacked victim Cindy Turner outside Spackle's Bar and Grill but died at the scene." No charges filed against Turner.
Hank: All right, well, let's find out how he died. Whoa. That looks familiar. He died the same way our vics died.
Nick: Bella and her mom have got to be the same.
Hank: Ashford's death was ruled accidental. Cause of death: severe allergic reaction, substance unknown.
Nick: [His phone rings and he answers] Rosalee.
Rosalee: I think we've got something that might work, but no guarantees. It's never been tried. What I think we have to do is depolarize her membranes by either using a tetrodotoxin or a saxitoxin, both of which should have antagonistic effects to the poison she secretes. This would allow us to block her from creating the poison in the first place.
Nick: Any side effects?
Monroe: Yeah, these are some hardcore toxins we're dealing with here. I can't imagine there wouldn't be-and probably not very good ones. But it's better than her being out there killing people.
Rosalee: Hey, it's not like she's got a choice.
Nick: Do it. Got to go. [He hangs up]
Wu: [Walking up] Got a DMV on Bella's mom, Cindy Turner. The address on her license is in Gresham.
Hank: Let's go.

Scene: Bella's mom goes into the shed to talk to Bella.

Cindy: Bella? I saw your bike. What are you doing here?
Bella: [Tearfully] Mom.
Cindy: What's wrong, honey?
Bella: It happened again, but it wasn't my fault. He attacked me, and I told him to leave me alone.
Cindy: It's okay. It's okay.
Bella: It's not okay, Mom. The police are gonna think that I did it.
Cindy: It doesn't matter what the police think.
Bella: I can't go back there.
Cindy: You don't have to. Look, I'm gonna go back to the house, get you something to eat. You just rest, hmm? I'll take care of everything. [She leaves the shed and notices smoke coming out of the chimney] No. No, you don't! [She runs to the house]
Nancy: [Opening the door] What happened?
Cindy: Nothing.
Nancy: Don't lie to me.
Cindy: It's not her fault, Mom.
Nancy: It doesn't matter. It has to be done.
Cindy: No.
Nancy: It's for her own good.
Cindy: [She runs inside to get the branding iron out of the fireplace] I will not do this to my daughter.
Nancy: [She hits Cindy in the head with a fireplace poker, knocking her out] You won't have to. [She takes out the red-hot branding iron from the fireplace] I will.
[Nick and Hank arrive at the house as Nancy goes into the shed. Nancy walks towards Bella, who is asleep, with the branding iron as Nick knocks at the house]
Hank: Hey, forget knocking. There's a woman on the floor. She's not moving.
[Nick opens the door]
Hank: She's got blood on the back of her head. All right, she's got a pulse.
Nick: I'm calling an ambulance.
[Bella screams and Nick heads to the shed]
Cindy: [Waking up] Bella.
Hank: It's okay. We're police.
Cindy: You don't understand. My mother's with her.
Nancy: Do you want to keep on killing?
Bella: No! [She screams more]
Nancy: Do you want to be raped like your mother and me?
Bella: No!
Nancy: You have to do what we all have to do. It's for your own good.
Nick: Police!
Nancy: No. No! [She runs at Nick with the branding iron, but he takes it from her]
Cindy: [Running up to Bella] Thank God. [She hugs Bella]
Nancy: You think you saved her? Oh, you haven't saved her from anything.
Nick: Well, maybe we have. You need to come with us.
Cindy: It's not her fault. You can't arrest her.
Hank: We know.
Nick: There might be another way.

Scene: Nick and Hank bring Bella to the spice shop.

Rosalee: If you drink this, we believe it will keep your touch from killing anyone.
Bella: And you're sure it'll work?
Rosalee: No. It's never been tried. Or if it has been, there's no record. Usually, that means not such a good outcome.
Hank: It may affect you in ways we have no way of predicting.
Monroe: Not exactly, um, FDA approved, you know?
Nick: Look. I know a thing or two about side effects. You really want to think about this.
Bella: You don't know what it's like to never be able to experience love. Never feel the touch of another person or be able to touch them. [She sighs] I don't care about the side effects. [She exhales] It can't be worse than what happens now. [She drinks the depolarizing solution]

Scene: Renard arrives at the warehouse.

Renard: [He takes his gun out as he goes in] Sam. Sam? [He finds Damerov's body hung up]
Kenneth: [From behind] Sean Renard. We haven't met. I'm Kenneth.
Renard: Did you kill him?
Kenneth: I did. But he sort of had it coming, trying to trick the Family into believing he knew where Kelly Burkhardt and the child were.
Renard: Well, I should arrest you.
Kenneth: Well, my confession is just between the two of us. The King is extremely annoyed with how things have progressed. He desperately wants his granddaughter. And I've been tasked with the responsibility of making that happen. There's no need for guns. Nobody's going to shoot anybody. If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead.
Renard: [He puts his gun away] So... this is when you tell me how important I am to the Family and that we should join forces.
Kenneth: No. [He punches Renard and they begin fighting. He initially has the upper hand until Renard woges] Going there, are we?
[Renard has no problems fighting and soon pins Kenneth's head against a wall. However, his chest starts randomly bleeding and he loses focus and retracts. Kenneth gets free and gets multiple hits in on Renard, knocking him to the ground]
Kenneth: This is where I tell you how important I am to the Family. And unless you join forces with me, you'll end up like your friend Damerov. And the King will mourn the loss of another son. Think about it. [He walks away]

Scene: Three weeks later, a green-faced Bella has a date.

Man: I always think that these first dates are so awkward. You never know what to say or what not to say, what someone's gonna like or not like. And I guess I'm just trying really hard not to sound like an idiot. I really like you.
Bella: I really like you, too. So, are you sure you're not bothered by the way I look?
Man: I think you're a knockout.
[Bella laughs]
