'''Note:''' The Blutbad sustained several fairly severe lacerations to his arms and midsection from his first fight with the Raub-Kondor. His injuries didn't slow him down too much in his fight against the Seelengut, but in his last fight the Steinadler managed to at least reopen one of the injuries in his midsection.

Revision as of 12:34, 10 April 2017

Check the results at Challonge or down below.

The Löwen Games are back for the final time! All Wesen species who appeared in "Pilot" though "The End" were eligible to compete. No humans, Grimms, non-Wesen beings, comic Wesen, novel Wesen or Wesen mentioned/seen in the Grimm diaries only were eligible. Zerstörer was also ineligible due to being overpowered compared to the other Wesen. Seedings were done using a random number generator. Numbers were assigned to each Wesen based on their names in alphabetical order. The Mauvais Dentes was awarded the #1 seed as the defending champion.

The rules:

  1. If you die, you lose.
  2. If you win, you live to fight another day.
  3. We are not responsible for band-aids or pain relievers. And if you get blinded, zombified, burned, or get any other non-life threatening injuries, toughen up.

Reporters

Matches are assigned to each reporter using a random number generator to help keep things balanced. The reporters write up the matches, and to avoid the possibility for the writers to sway the results based on their brackets, the results are heavily influenced by the Challonge polls, which are voted on by everyone who filled out a bracket. For example, if one Wesen receives 95% of the votes, then they will have a 95% chance of winning the fight, and if the Wesen with a 5% chance of winning ends up being victorious, the reporter will have to be much more creative in what they write up in order to explain the results.

Standings/Results

Wesen that won in the first 66 didn't get a higher seeding because they had an extra win and Wesen who lost in the first 66 were automatically tied for last place. Wesen that lost in the round of 64 were one place ahead of Wesen who lost in the first 66 even though they each had 1 loss.

First 66 (April 5-6)

April 5

Gedächtnis Esser vs. Bauerschwein

Welcome to the 2017 Löwen Games! The crowd here is excited, woged, and ready to go! All factions of various Wesen are here, both in the stands, as well as among our competitors, which should make for all sorts of interesting matches. With our first match of the 2017 Löwen Games, we had two feisty competitors who had clearly been raised for the sole purpose of competing in this tournament. As the match was signaled to start, the Gedächtnis Esser and Bauerschwein charged straight at each other with no regard for what may happen next. The Bauerschwein actually put up a decent fight, ferociously swatting away at his competitor's tentacles to keep them from attaching to his head, even biting down on one, but this only seemed to enrage the Gedächtnis Esser even more, who simply picked up the poor Bauerschwein by the waist and performed a wrestling-like body slam on him. With the Bauerschwein momentarily stunned and grabbing at his back in pain, the Gedächtnis Esser attached his remaining useful tentacles to his competitor's head and drained all his memories and remaining sanity from him, leaving him an unconscious mess. The crowd cheered as the Gedächtnis Esser raised his hand in victory, but he quickly fled the arena as several Blutbaden descended from the stands, apparently to just feed on the helpless Bauerschwein. I'm sure this will go over well with the Bauerschwein onlookers in the crowd...

Scharfblicke vs. Skalenzahne

This match was hardly a match at all. The poor Scharfblicke stood no chance against the Skalenzahne, who many members of the crowd will recognize as the superstar power forward for the Portland Trail Blazers. The Skalenzahne stands at a massive 6'10" with fantastic speed and elite strength. The Skalenzahne quickly charged the Scharfblicke and proceeded to eat the owl-like creature's head!

Kackenkopf vs. Willahara

This young Willahara was in no way a ‚Hasenfuss‘, as he started his attack as soon as the fight was open but it was of no use. Without any decent claws or even teeth he was no real threat to the Kackenkopf at any time despite being fast on his furry feet. The Willahara managed to land a few swings but the exoskeleton of the Kackenkopf diverted all efforts. The latter clearly had no intention to risk any hits against the vulnerable part of his head and freed his competitor of his own by sinking his nasty teeth into the neck of the bunnylike Wesen. And oh… I think I saw some people in the crowd lifting sharp knifes probably going for the foot…

Höllentier vs. Unnamed Red Herring-like Wesen

It’s been an uneven fight from the beginning. The Höllentier woged, baring his teeth and launched himself with full speed at his opponent the instant the head of the latter bulged and turned red in his effort to woge in time. But it was too late. The Höllentier finished the fight with ripping the fish's… gills? out and sinking his teeth into the remaining flesh. Bon appetite.

Klaustreich vs. Musasat Alsh-Shabab

Many people had no idea how this match would go, and it ended up being a fairly evenly match fight. The Musasat Alsh-Shabab was trying his hardest to knockout or stun the Klaustreich to make it easier to attach his mouth to the Klaustreich's face. He finally manage to land a left hook squarely to the Klaustreich's face, knocking her to the ground and the Musasat Alsh-Shabab quickly took advantage to suck the Yanbue from the Klaustreich, but he wasn't quick enough as the Klaustreich manages to dig her claws into the Musasat Alsh-Shabab's neck, causing his blood to drip all over her face in victory.

Hässlich vs. Manticore

As some may have expected, this match was not one that tested the endurance and stamina of either competitor. The Hässlich was not particularly bright in his approach, and rather than try to keep at bay of the Manticore's deadly tail, he instead tried to charge right at him, but the Manticore was more than ready. The Hässlich practically impaled himself on his competitor's tail as the Manticore didn't even break a sweat in this one. With an Eisbiber due up next, the crowd expects another quick match for the Manticore; however, seeing as the competitors are quite literally fighting for their lives, it would probably be unwise for the Manticore, or any of the other fighters for that matter, to take his next opponent lightly.

Jägerbar vs. Reinigen

This was one of the fastest matches in March, or in this case April, Madness Löwen Games history. It appears that the Reinigen was deaf, so she did not hear the signal for the fight to begin, and for some reason she had her back to the Jägerbar, who simply ran up and snapped the Reinigen's neck.

Mellifer vs. Varme Tyv

Since it’s still early in the year the Varme Tyv looks like he was forced out of his Hibernaculum. Too bad for the little Queen Bee, she had very few at her hands to oppose this dire need for warmth. One Wesen ended his Winterschlaf – the other one will never wake again from her icy state.

Mauzhertz vs. Furis Rubian

This match posed two Wesen against each other that aren't known for having violent reputations. Because of this, there was a noticeable lack of energy and anticipation from the crowd for this one, but some unintentional comedy led to a pretty raucous crowd afterwards anyway. We hope the end result in this one was worth the price of admission! When the match got underway, both contestants woged, and the frightening appearance of the male Furis Rubian scared the Mauzhertz half to death. Immediately, the Mauzhertz tried to scurry off and run away from the Furis Rubian, but he was so panicked, he simply ran head-first into a wall. As the crowd burst into laughter, the Furis Rubian, a little unsure of what to do at first, simply walked over to the Mauzhertz and ended the poor Wesen's misery, quickly snapping his neck.

Lebensauger vs. Fuchsbau

The Lebensauger was very reluctant to woge but this tricky Fuchsbau-Lady left him with no other option as he faced her fangs coming at him, but he was too late. He couldn’t reach any part of her with this disgusting mouth. It took all of a few minutes till his body finally stopped twitching.

Taureus-Armenta vs. Ziegevolk

In an outcome that some considered to be an upset, the Taureus-Armenta emerged victorious in this one, though not without some side effects of the fight. Not one to fear much, the Taureus-Armenta charged at his competitor as soon as the match began. The Ziegevolk had charged up a great deal of pheromones, however, and quickly jumped out of the way of the Taureus-Armenta as he ran through a cloud of both dust and the Ziegevolk's charm. The Taureus-Armenta sniffed the air in a daze, momentarily rendered completely non-aggressive. The Ziegevolk, thinking he had the advantage, carelessly walked up to his opponent to make his next move, but he never got to. A Ziegevolk's pheromones have more potency when physical contact is able to be made, and before the Ziegevolk could strike, seeming to forget that he had not actually touched the Taureus-Armenta yet, the Taureus-Armenta snapped out of his stupor and swung his head around, impaling the Ziegevolk with one of his horns straight through the throat. On impulse, the Ziegevolk grabbed onto the Taureus-Armenta, finally touching him, but after a few seconds, his arms fell lifelessly to his side. The Taureus-Armenta was brought to his knees as well, however, as apparently this final physical contact had some effect.

Dämonfeuer vs. Wettbewerbsgewinner

The Wettbewerbsgewinner stood absolutely no chance against the Dämonfeuer. Before the Wettbewerbsgewinner could even think about his first move, he was already burning alive.

Aswang vs. Schakal

How unfortunate for the Schakal that she was pregnant. The Aswang stuck her long tongue into the Schakal's bellybutton, which shocked the Schakal long enough the the Aswang managed to tackle her to the ground and beat her to death.

Quijada Vil vs. Hasenfussige Schnecke

The Hasenfussige Schnecke couldn’t keep himself from woging, leaving the audience disgusted at best, some people even looking sick. Gladly the Quijada Vil was no coward and quickly ended the misery for his opponent - and the spectators.

Cupiditas vs. Hexenbiest

Word spread before this fight that the Cupiditas had stolen the hair of the Löwen who was primarily in charge of running this match, but seeing as almost anything goes in these tournaments... nobody seemed to really care! The match was signaled to begin, and the Cupiditas could be seen spitting into some sort of vial she had with her. No doubt this was an impromptu making of Amor de Infierno, a first in the Löwen Games. The Hexenbiest was not fazed at all though and stood her ground. She watched her opponent intently as the Cupiditas was cautious to approach her. Somehow, the Cupiditas was going to have to get the Hexenbiest to drink what was in that vial, and the Hexenbiest clearly knew this. She ominously started to slowly walk towards the Cupiditas, cornering her in the arena. Once she was too close for comfort, the Cupiditas suddenly became aggressive and threw the vial at the Hexenbiest's face, but the vial and its contents froze in mid-air inches from the Hexenbiest's face, before harmlessly dropping to the ground. As the Cupiditas watched in horror, she fell to her knees and desperately begged the Hexenbiest for mercy, knowing she was overmatched. The Hexenbiest glanced over at the Löwen, who smiled, flashing those vicious teeth of his, and turned his thumb down. The crowd cheered in delight as the Cupiditas then horribly started screaming in pain, but these screams quickly turned into a gurgling sound and then abrupt silence as some of the Cupiditas' internal organs were telekinetically pulled out of her mouth. ...And with that, I think I'm gonna be sick!

Krampus vs. Skalengeck

It's only early April, but the Skalengeck has already been very naughty according to Krampus. The Skalengeck used his agility to get some hard hits in against Krampus, but the Skalengeck caught too close one too many times as when he went in for an attack, Krampus kicked the Skalengeck in the knee causing severe damage as his knee was suddenly very crooked. As the Skalengeck screamed in pain, Krampus walked up, knocked the Skalengeck onto his back, and stomped his face as hard as he could, crushing the Skalengeck's skull with the result resembling when Negan bashes skulls with Lucille.

Nuckelavee vs. Luison

The Luison tried to charm his neck out of this fight, but the female Nuckelavee didn’t fall for it. She gestured him like a pro-boxer to come forth and try to get her straight to the face, but he hesitated. Looking around and realizing there was no escape for him he actually tried his best, but he didn’t really stand a chance against the hooves, never allowing him to get close enough to do more damage than giving a few scratches on her arms. After a couple of minutes the audience seems to get restless and gather their things. I know it’s the last fight of the day, geez… why are they in a hurry all of a sudden? The Löwen in his VIP Lounge seems mildly bugged by this behavior. Lifting his glass of Champagne he obviously gave his security chief a sign as all of a sudden all the iron gates were closed with a notable thump. Irritated, the Nuckelavee lifts her gaze at the Löwen but he winks at her to continue while emptying his glass. As a last resort it seems the badly wounded Luison finally went for the legs of the fierce woman, giving her at least a nasty cut across her right tibia. He seemed to have forgotten, that this move brought him in return near her feet, but it didn’t matter anymore, since her powerful hoof crushed his skull in a nasty wet sound… So much for the first day, be sure to return tomorrow for the next preliminary fights. See ya soon.

April 6

Stangebär vs. Königschlange

This was a closer match than many had previously anticipated! The Königschlange showed off his fast reflexes several times in this fight, ducking and dodging the swinging arms of his dangerous opponent, the Stangebär. In what started to resemble a lightweight boxing match, the Königschlange proved to be the one lighter on his feet. Eventually, the Stangebär's stamina failed him, and the swings of his arms started becoming more and more uncontrolled. A lunging swing of his right arm that simply hit air caused the Stangebär to stumble forward a few feet, and the Königschlange finally was able to capitalize on the opportunity as he sunk his teeth into his opponent's neck from behind, delivering his deadly toxin that immediately took effect. The Stangebär collapsed to the ground in a lifeless heap, as the Königschlange continued to show off afterwards, taking several quick victory laps around the arena. He certainly looks like he could fight in another match right now!

Spinnetod vs. Coyotl

Girlsfight! I guess a female opponent is not such much tasty for our beautiful Spinnetod, but nonetheless is she fighting like crazy. Haven’t seen that much shrieking, scratching and pulling out each other’s hair like this… both take turns in gaining the upper hand. Ouch, now the Coyotl snatched half of the Spinnetod fingers and bites them off. That really got the pretty blonde on her bad side and finally she vomited her poison into the other female’s mouth. The Coyotl managed to throw her off, but it took only seconds for her to start shaking uncontrollable. Breathing heavily the Spinnetod sat up, holding her bloody left hand and watching the Coyotl die. Before the Cleaning crew arrived the blonde crawled back to the dead body and bit into her belly. Enjoy your meal…

Blutbad vs. Raub-Kondor

This was a bloodbath to be sure! The Blutbad and Raub-Kondor exchanged several blows, bites, slashes, and kicks as they fought in close quarters with each other. The Blutbad's strength proved to be the deciding factor, however, as he pushed the Raub-Kondor around the arena for most of the fight and set the tone. For every slash the Raub-Kondor landed, the Blutbad seemed to do twice as much damage with his punches and vicious bites. The Raub-Kondor couldn't keep up the fight as he lost more and more blood, and the Blutbad finally ended the match by ripping off the Raub-Kondor's arm and biting out his throat. The Löwen look most impressed by this Blutbad's brutality!

Folterseele vs. Steinadler

The Folterseele was hoping to use her looks as an advantage in this match, but the Steinadler was having none of it. He pretended like he had a crush on the froggy beauty, but when he acted like he was going to kiss her, he snapped the Folterseele's neck.

El Cucuy vs. Wildesheer

This match should have turned out much differently. The El Cucuy was using her claws to slice up the Wildesheer's face, but it wasn't affecting him too much. He was messing around with the El Cucuy as she was super confused why her attacks were hardly doing anything to the Wildesheer. If only she realized that she needed to cut the Wildesheer long hair to defeat him. Eventually, the Wildesheer got bored and beat the El Cucuy to death.

Geier vs. Gevatter Tod

It’s the first time the Löwen managed to get a Gevatter Tod to join this spectacle. Maybe he thought he could be of use with some of the unlucky contestants? Didn’t anyone tell him this is a Battle Arena and not just a decent sports match? Oh well… Anyway, the Geier woges, stretched his long fingers and revealing the long talons. His eyes firmly set on his competitor he moves his head in a very vulture like manner but the Gevatter Tod seems to be unfazed. Still looking like a nice middle-aged uncle he just observe the Geiers action, as if this had nothing to do with him. The Geier slowly approached him, still wary but seemingly getting more exalted by the ‘nonreaction’ with every step. Finally, he jumps at the Gevatter, talons extended, going for the throat. Confident of his victory he screeched what obviously had to be a battle cry. My poor eardrums… But wait, the Gevatter Tod grabs the Geier in midair and throws him over his shoulder in a seriously Kung Fu-like move. Stunned for a second the Geier jumped up and tried another attack only to find himself again lying down with his mouth full of sand. Now the real fight starts. Hand-to-hand both competitors fight, the Gevatter Tod slowly gaining the upper hand. Finally he caught the Geier in a firm grip, woges and injects his poisonous saliva into the Geiers nostrils. The Tod always wins in the End…

Wildermann vs. Wendigo

We may have our first fairly big upset of the Löwen Games thus far! ...Though this might not be quite the upset if it was known that the Wildermann in this match seemed quite opposed to fighting at all. When the match started, it became clear the Wildermann would have to be agitated in some way to get him to become aggressive. The Wendigo, on the other hand, had no such issues. He understood what was at stake here and began running towards his opponent. The Wildermann must have thought that the Wendigo was interested in striking up a friendly conversation about the weather rather than being out for blood, as that's the only way to explain why the Wildermann just simply stood there and did nothing to defend himself. The Wendigo delivered a slashing uppercut to the Wildermann's throat, which proved to be a critical blow. The Wildermann's eyes quickly widened in shock as he reached for his throat, blood squirting out profusely. Perhaps he realized at this point what he was in for, as the Wendigo continued to slash away at the Wildermann. The Wildermann delivered one huge kick to the Wendigo in self-defense, sending the Wendigo flying back several feet, but the damage was done. The Wildermann collapsed to the ground as he bled out, and the Wendigo took awhile to get back up but eventually got to his feet and glared menacingly at his fallen opponent, barely celebrating this first round victory.

Huntha Lami Muuaji vs. Fuchsteufelwild

The Fuchsteufelwild simply had a better way of using his highly corrosive acid than the Huntha Lami Muuaji did in this match. The Huntha Lami Muuaji, in the end, couldn't manage to get close enough to touch the Fuchsteufelwild, who cut his opponent in half with one devastating slash of his long fingernails as soon as the Huntha Lami Muuaji got too close for his own good.

Wældreór vs. Seltenvogel

This was one of those early round matches that hardly felt like a match. The Seltenvogel stood no chance against the rabid Wældreór, who quickly knocked the Seltenvogel to the ground and tore out her throat with his teeth.

Weten Ogen vs. Apgadnieks

The Weten Ogen had a rough time dealing with that Apgadnieks, probably because she didn’t know if she could kill someone looking that young. But the teenager finally helped with his ruthless attack from behind. He sank his teeth deep into her right shoulder, making her cry out in pain. At that point the Apgadnieks was merely a punching bag, finally ending as a bloody mess dumped like garbage in the sand of the arena.

Cracher-Mortel vs. Matança Zumbido

Now THIS, ladies and gentleman, is what I call a highly anticipated matchup. As soon as the fight began, the Cracher-Mortel tried to catch his opponent by surprise right away and spit a huge blob of his dangerously toxic saliva right at the Matança Zumbido's face. The Matança Zumbido had clearly scouted his opponent well before the match, however, as he had electrically charged the air around him to the point that the toxic saliva seemed to fry in mid-air before it could reach him, rendering the toxins useless. The Cracher-Mortel, still determined, prepared to fire another glob of spit, but the Matança Zumbido quickly closed in before he could spit another round. The Cracher-Mortel delivered a quick jab and a side-kick to keep the Matança Zumbido at bay, and the Matança Zumbido and Cracher-Mortel both eyed each other nervously, waiting for any type of opening. Again, the Cracher-Mortel quickly tried to fire his spit at the Matança Zumbido, but he was ready once again and dodged it as it flew over his head, striking an unfortunate random spectator in the crowd instead. The Matança Zumbido again closed in, trying to get into a grapple with the Cracher-Mortel. The Cracher-Mortel wisely chopped down the Matança Zumbido's arms and delivered a headbutt, knocking the Matança Zumbido back. He followed this up with a combo of two quick jabs to the face and a leg sweep, knocking the Matança Zumbido to the ground. The Cracher Mortel took this opportunity to gather up another "round" of saliva; the Matança Zumbido, perhaps sensing his vulnerability, desperately tried to jump off the ground and grab a hold of one of the Cracher-Mortel's legs, but he was met with a swift kick to the side of the head from the Cracher-Mortel's opposite leg. The Matança Zumbido lay on his back, significantly hurting from this last blow, and it seemed he had not scouted the Cracher-Mortel's fighting skills quite as well as his toxic saliva. The Cracher-Mortel then bent over his opponent's face and delivered a point-blank shot of his toxic spit right to the Matança Zumbido's face. His body twitched and crackled with electricity as he went into momentary spasm, before turning gray and lifeless. Man, what a match!

Musai vs. Naiad

Whoever organized this fight forgot to give the Naiad some water to soak in recently, and she was severely dehydrated before the fight even began. She collapsed to the ground, dead, less than a minute into the fight, so the Musai basically got a free win without even having to take more than a couple steps.

Phansigar vs. Schinderdiv

Whoever told the Phansigar to try to strangle a Schinderdiv with this freakishly long tongue of his headfirst was… a complete idiot. Though the tongue was long, the gigantic tusks of the Schinderdiv were a more effective weapon, especially when you found yourself tangled hanging in midair and ending squashed between these tusks and the concrete wall of the arena. It left the Phansigar completely tongue-tied…

Yaguaraté vs. Murciélago

The answer leading into this match was if the Yaguaraté was fast enough to be able to attack the Murciélago before she could emit her high pitched shriek, and looking at the Yaguaraté now, the answer was a resounding no, as he lies dead on the ground with his eyeballs popped out, and blood running down his face from his nose, ears, and what was once his eyes.

Siegbarste vs. Gelumcaedus

This was a highly anticipated fight for sure. Both types of Wesen are known for their stamina, being hard to kill, but the first couple of minutes they only stared at each other while slowly circling the arena. The spectators demanded both fighter to show what they got and stop pussyfooting around each other. Maybe that’s been the spark that was needed, as suddenly both jumped a surprise double attack and crashed into each other with full force, grabbing the hands of the opponent and pushing against it like trying to break the others wrists. And being who they were, this turned into a test of strength. The Gelumcaedus tried to tear off the Siegbarste’s arms, but with these strong bones it was futile. The massive Wesen didn’t break a sweat over this. But it took him a long time to come with a way to kill the reptile Wesen. Finally it hit him – or rather the Gelumcaedus – as the Siegbarste finally started using his head… as a battering ram! Not sure if this was the fight the Löwen had hoped for, but after some dozen head-butts the Gelumcaedus sank seemingly beeing only semiconscious onto his knees, giving the Siegbarste the opportunity to clasp this massive arms around the other Wesen's head and… well, let’s say, the Siegbarste helped the reptile to wrack its brain completely.

Dickfellig vs. Luisant-Pêcheur

This match simply turned into a foot race as soon as it was signaled to begin. The Luisant-Pêcheur eyed the pool that was installed specifically for Wesen like him and started sprinting for it, but the Dickfellig went into a full-out charge towards the Luisant-Pêcheur to try to beat him to it. He proved to be faster and delivered one heck of a blow to the Luisant-Pêcheur's side with his horn, sending the Luisant-Pêcheur flying in the air right into the pool waters. The lifeless body of the Luisant-Pêcheur floated to the surface as his blood stained the pool water red, a huge gash visible where the Dickfellig had hit him. Hey, at least he still ended up in the pool!

Round of 64 (April 7-8)

April 7

Mauvais Dentes vs. Gedächtnis Esser

The Mauvais Dentes tried to keep his distance while also trying to get some scratch attacks in. Normally he'd be far more patient, but 15 minutes into the fight, the Mauvais Dentes took a chance and tackled the Gedächtnis Esser to the ground. Before he could kill the Gedächtnis Esser, the Gedächtnis Esser attached his tentacles to the Mauvais Dentes' head and started causing him to lose his memories. However, the Gedächtnis Esser's adrenaline was so high, that he didn't realize that the Mauvais Dentes' claw was slowly going further into his neck. The Gedächtnis Esser suddenly realized what was happening and released the Mauvais Dentes. The Mauvais Dentes was a bit confused, but managed to finish off the Gedächtnis Esser while he was trying to stop his neck from bleeding.

Skalenzahne vs. Kackenkopf

The Kackenkopf might have had an easy win with the Willahara in his first fight, but it was clear as day, that it wouldn’t be the same with his next opponent. The crowd cheered for their Trail Blazer Superstar as soon as he set his foot into the arena. He sure didn’t disappoint the spectators with his performance and the amount of blood he shed while tearing the unfortunate Kackenkopf apart.

Wasser Zahne vs. Höllentier

This match was decided rather quickly, as the Höllentier went into this match perhaps a bit overconfident going up against another Wesen that favors water. The two creatures went at each other early, with the Wasser Zahne cleverly luring the Höllentier slowly but surely to the water's edge of the built-in pool inside the arena. While the Höllentier may have thought he was controlling the tempo of the match, it was all a ruse; as soon as the Wasser Zahne lured the Höllentier close enough, he grappled the Höllentier and threw him into the pool, where he jumped in afterwards and finished him off, killing him via drowning. The Wasser Zahne absorbed some blows that he blocked in order to carry out his plan, but no blood was drawn, so he shouldn't be any worse for the wear going into his next match.

Vulpesmyrca vs. Klaustreich

It’s the first fight for the Vulpesmycra, but the Klaustreich already had an encounter with a Musasat Alsh-Shabab two days ago and… oh… didn’t she looked a lot… younger last time? Now her brown hair shows streaks of silver and white and she seems to be… way more fragile than a woman in her twenty-something should be. Probably a side effect from losing some of that precious Yanbue to the Musasat. Too bad, she was rather pretty before that. The Vulpesmycra on the other hand didn’t seemed too sad about it and attacked straight on, woging while running with remarkable speed. But the Klaustreich wouldn’t give up that easily. She blocked the attack and struck him with her razor sharp claws across his chest instead. That’s one tough woman! The Vulpesmycra clearly got agitated over this injurie and advanced again. Both went hand-to-hand, blocking, hitting, slashing and attacking again. But a few minutes later it became obvious, that her previous fight had cost the Klaustreich dearly, as her hair turned even whiter still, her movements becoming more and more feeble and finally faltered altogether. The Vulpesmycra noticed the changes in his opponent’s appearance and behavior and stopped. Warily he took two steps back, probably wondering what’s happening with her. With pure horror showing in her face the Klaustreich finally fell to the ground, resembling an old hag by now, her pure white hair flowing around wrinkled skin, pale as parchment. The audiences loud cheers had faded to a shocked murmur while watching the now old lady die of age. The Vulpesmycra sure didn’t look too pleased with this outcome. He seemed rather worried about what had caused that rapid aging and checking his wounds for any signs of infections, making him an old man within minutes as well.

Eisbiber vs. Manticore

To make this match a bit more interesting for the onlookers, the Löwen infected this Eisbiber with Fluvus Pestilentia. I have no idea if this is actually legal or not, but the Löwen make the rules, so no use in debating their tactics unless you want to find out what the inside of a Löwen belly looks like. Despite the Eisbiber being particularly more aggressive than normal, the match was still extremely short. The Eisbiber snarled as the Manticore got down into a ready position and steadied himself, preparing for the Eisbiber to charge at him. Sure enough, that's what happened, and, yet again, another opponent practically impaled themselves on the Manticore's deadly tail. No upset in this match, as the Manticore moves on to the next round.

Genio Innocuo vs. Jägerbar

There are a couple fighters who have had little resistance against them so far, and one of those fighters is the Jägerbar. He cruised through this match using his sharp claws to slice up the Genio Innocuo, before sticking his large claws into the Genio Innocuo's throat.

Hundjäger vs. Varme Tyv

Score another win for the Varme Tyv, this time a pretty big upset. The Varme Tyv walked into the arena a shivering mess, and the Hundjäger flashed a sinister smile. Underestimating his opponent, however, the Hundjäger was too aggressive in going in for the kill. Varme Tyv that are on the cusp of freezing to death can prove to be all the more dangerous, and, serving as the perfect example, the Varme Tyv seemed to transform from a shivering, harmless shell of a creature into a ferocious beast in an instant. As the Hundjäger went to bite the Varme Tyv's throat, the Varme Tyv grabbed the left arm of his opponent and spun him to the ground, flipping him over his shoulder. The Varme Tyv then immediately jumped on top of the Hundjäger and sunk his teeth into the Hundjäger's throat. The Hundjäger desperately tried to push the Varme Tyv off of him, but the bite was locked in. In his last surviving moments, the Hundjäger tried to claw at the Varme Tyv's head and face, but as his warmth was stolen from his body, his last attempts to survive were noticeably weaker, and the Varme Tyv eventually climbed off of his frozen opponent, refreshed as if he was good as new.

Löwen vs. Furis Rubian

The Furis Rubian was hoping that this match would be like his previous fight with the Mauzhertz in terms of his opponent being afraid of him, but he was very, very wrong. The Löwen was very aggressive and quickly used his large teeth to bite onto the Furis Rubian's face, biting it partly off before biting the Furis Rubian's throat to win the match.

Ungeziefer Greifer vs. Fuchsbau

Like in her previous fight, the Fuchsbau had no problem in catching and killing her prey within only a few minutes into the match, even though the Ungeziefer Greifer tried his hardest to avoid the sharp fangs. In the end she was quicker on her feet and her teeth were sharper. Let’s see if that Lady is going to have another easy win in the next round.

Drang-Zorn vs. Taureus-Armenta

The Ziegevolk's pheromones that the Taureus-Armenta encountered in his last fight had a significant effect in this match, which really wasn't a fair fight from the start, not that any of the Löwen really care. The Taureus-Armenta clearly did not have the focus and fighting attitude in this match that he would typically have. From the get go, he came stumbling into the arena, almost as if he was drunk. The Drang-Zorn wasted no time in finishing off her opponent, delivering fatal slashes to the Taureus-Armenta's belly and throat. One can only hope the Ziegevolk's pheromones helped make this a (mostly) painless death for the Taureus-Armenta.

Fuilcré vs. Dämonfeuer

Another day, another easy win for the Dämonfeuer. This was her second match to start the tournament that last less than 15 seconds before she burned her opponent alive. She is already getting overconfident, saying "there is no one who can stop me from being crowned the champion of this tournament. I will cook everyone alive before they can even make a move..."

Anubis vs. Aswang

The Anubis entered the arena already fully woged, his body upright, expressing so much dignity as if he was an old Egyptian high priest. The Aswang on the other side of the arena hissed at his sight and crouched down on all fours, trying to keep her distance, probably till she could see an opportunity. But the Anubis never faltered in his approach. So the Aswang finally started an attack, going for the throat; only to get caught in mid-air by two strong arms, slamming her spine with full force onto his knee thus producing a loud cracking noise. The Aswang cried out in pain. She tried to get her tongue around the Anubis’ neck to strangle him, but he simply grabbed it and… pulled it out. To end her misery he finally closed his long snout around his opponent’s throat and ripped it out, before putting her dead body carefully down onto the sand.

Ataktos Fuse vs. Quijada Vil

I don’t know how the Löwen managed to get his hands on an Ataktos Fuse for they are really hard to find nowadays. This one seemed to be in a particular good mood today as he managed to get the crowd doing a Mexican wave. Can’t remember ever seeing them doing such kind of thing… Whatever, the Quijada Vil didn’t seem to like being ignored and tried to make his point in attacking the Party Animal. But the Ataktos Fuse woged, used his wings or whatever mad him move so quickly out f the way and brought himself behind his competitor, complaining for him not to be such a slowpoke. The Scales of the Quijada Vil turned even darker then and he stroke out his pointy claws; only to recognize his mistake, as he wasn’t able to do any harm to the Ataktos’ exoskeleton. The Insect like Wesen then grabbed his hands and started what looked like a conga line, but the Quijada Vil wouldn’t join him. So the Ataktos lost interest and simply stabbed his competitor with a sharp finger in his throat. After that he turned back to the audience and tried to get them to do some party games with him instead.

Pflichttreue vs. Hexenbiest

The Pflichttreue is known for being a particularly stealthy and clever Wesen, but there's not much of an advantage these traits have over a Hexenbiest's telekinesis, especially when both creatures are in an open arena with no place to hide. The match began, and the Pflichttreue was hesitant to make the first move, but the Hexenbiest, like a statue, just stood in place. The Pflichttreue then picked up some dirt in one of its hands and started to slowly approach the Hexenbiest in a stealthy crouch. Without warning, the Hexenbiest raised both her hands, and a huge cloud of dust overtook the Pflichttreue, almost as if to mock the Pflichttreue's plan of using that dirt it had picked up. The Pflichttreue came running out of the dust cloud, almost running blindly, and he was immediately picked up off the ground telekinetically, turned upside-down, and dropped straight on his head, breaking his neck.

Lausenschlange vs. Krampus

What just happened? Krampus was heavily favored to win this match, with hardly anyone giving the Lausenschlange a chance. However, apparently no one told the Lausenschlange that because he DOMINATED this fight. He used his quickness and smaller size to his advantage going for Krampus' legs. Once the Lausenschlange managed to knock Krampus to the ground, the Lausenschlange strangled Krampus until he passed out. The Lausenschlange then used his sharp fangs to bite Krampus' neck. Krampus then slowly proceeded to bleed out until he was pronounced dead.

Alpe vs. Nuckelavee

The Nuckelavee didn't have much time to heal from her last fight with the Luison, and she entered the fight a bit banged up, sporting a deep gash across her left tibia that was bandaged up and had blood seeping through. The sadistic Alpe looked to take advantage and give the Nuckelavee one "nightmare" of a fight, but the Nuckelavee still had her wits about her. Not moving much, the Nuckelavee stood in a ready position. The Alpe obliged the open invite to attack and came charging at the Nuckelavee, but she was met with a huge uppercut to the jaw. The Alpe's jaw appeared to be broken, and her mouth hung open as she dusted herself off the ground. The Nuckelavee motioned the Alpe to come at her once more, and she dove for the Nuckelavee's legs, trying to bring the beast down. She had no such luck, however, as the Nuckelavee still had a sturdy enough base to maintain her balance. She proceeded to deliver several punishing blows to the Alpe's head with her hoof-like fists, ending the match with yet another opponent's head left completely unrecognizable. The arena has been an absolute mess so far in the 2017 Löwen Games, and there's nothing the crowd here loves more than that!

April 8

Koschie vs. Königschlange

This was a hard-fought match. The Königschlange was again light on his feet but the Koschie stood his ground. Eventually the radiation emitting from the latter took it’s toll. The skin on the Königschlange’s arms and face were laced with nasty blisters and his knees seemed to get wobbly. Seemingly as a last resort he sank his poisonous teeth into the Koschies shoulder, but the glowing green Wesen simply grabbed the snakehead with his teeth still in place and watched it die from his radiation.

Taweret vs. Spinnetod

This was the first time that the Löwen Games organizers managed to find a Taweret for the tournament, and she did not disappoint in her debut. The Spinnetod was completely caught off guard by how tall the Taweret was, and while the Spinnetod stood in shock, the Taweret took advantage and bit off the spider-like creature's head, getting a standing ovation from the crowd.

Seelengut vs. Blutbad

These two species have a long history with each other, and the result was the same as it has almost always been despite the Blutbad's fairly severe lacerations from fighting the Raub-Kondor in the previous round. Luckily for him, he got a pretty easy match up this round to give him another couple of days to recover. The Blutbad ended up not just killing the Seelengut, but EATING her completely!

Jinnamuru Xunte vs. Steinadler

Both Wesen showed off their tremendous speed in this match, but it was the Steinadler that proved to have the most impressive skill in the end, along with some luck. Additionally, with the Steinadler's sight being so exceptional, the Jinnamuru Xunte seemed to make blinding his opponent more of a priority than actually killing him. However, the wise Steinadler knew to block his eyes or move out of the way in time whenever the Jinnamuru Xunte tried to blind him. Even with the Steinadler avoiding being blinded, it was a struggle for a long time for either Wesen to land a blow on the other, as they displayed great quickness in impressively dodging or moving out of the way of each other's attempted strikes. Finally, in a game of cat and mouse, the Jinnamuru Xunte was overcome and undone by a sudden headache, and the Steinadler quickly took advantage of the unexpected opening. He moved in and punched the Jinnamuru Xunte in the stomach. As he doubled over, the Steinadler caught him in a headlock and snapped his neck. I suppose that's one way to stop a headache!

Barbatus Ossifrage vs. Wildesheer

The Barbatus Ossifrage had no luck to be allotted to fight this oppontent. The Wildesheer got boored very soon, as this vulture-like Wesen proved to have no real fighting skills at all. Maybe the Barabatus was missing his car? The Wildesheer plucked was was left of the vultures plumage and tore the Wesen into bloody pieces while being at it.

Inugami vs. Gevatter Tod

This was another highly anticipated match-up, as the Gevatter Tod demonstrated some martial arts training in his last match, and he was pitted against another Wesen revered for his fighting skill as well, the Inugami. Undeterred by the Gevatter Tod's reputation as a "Godfather of Death," the Inugami matched the Gevatter Tod blow for blow early on. Both competitors displayed just about everything in hand-to-hand combat: blocking, counter striking, and countering an opponent's counter. At one point, each Wesen's arms became locked with one another as they were face-to-face. The sneaky Gevatter Tod took this opportunity to stick his antenna-like tendrils up the Inugami's nose, but the Inugami's sense of urgency in this moment was of great aid to him. He immediately, almost reflexively, head butted his opponent, causing the Gevatter Tod to retract his tendrils. The two fighters unlocked arms and separated from each other once more, as another round of strikes, blocks, and counters began once more. The crowd stood up and cheered loudly for both Wesen it seemed, as they were seriously into what had become a great duel. The Gevatter Tod fired a quick kick to the Inugami's shin, but the Inugami answered back with a shin kick of his own. The Gevatter Tod then went for a quick jab to the face of the Inugami, who blocked it and attempted a counter with a big left hook to the head. The Gevattor Tod just barely ducked underneath the punch and countered with a punch just above the Inugami's right eye. He staggered back a bit as the Gevatter Tod went for a follow up strike; the Inugami shook off the last blow and blocked the strike just in time with his forearm, countering with a direct straight punch to the Gevatter Tod's solar plexus. The match quickly turned on this blow, as the Gevatter Tod struggled to breathe. The Inugami landed a second blow to the solar plexus, which the Gevatter Tod tried to protect, but he subsequently left his neck and head area open, and the Inugami started to systematically beat down the Gevatter Tod, punch by punch. Suddenly, the Inugami jumped a great height in the air and landed a huge kick to the side of Gevatter Tod's face. His body went limp with this final blow as he fell face forward to the ground. The Inugami then had a moment of quiet meditation, perhaps reciting something to himself, before he bowed to his opponent, knelt down, and broke the Gevatter Tod's neck. He got back up and bowed to the Löwen supervising the match as the crowd continued to go crazy! Perhaps we'll see a crane kick in the next round? We can only hope!

Balam vs. Wendigo

This was an unfortunate turn of events for the quite handsome Balam. The Wendigo had managed to get away with only so much as a kick in the gut in his previous fight, but only because he was able to deliver the first strike. The jaguar-like Balam was quick on his toes and even quicker with his fists. So it came as a pure surprise as the Wendigo actually managed to get onto the Balams back and cutting his throat from behind. Bewildered what had happened the Balam tried to turn his head and remove the Wesen still clinging on his back but it was no use. He rotated about his own axis again and again, but the Wendigo had locked his jaw in the Balams neck by now. Finally the Balam tried to throw him off by falling on his back. It helped getting the Wendigo dizzy, but the Balam already had lost too much blood. He tried to strangle the Wendigo but collapsed only seconds later. The Wendigo took a minute to catch his breath and just to be sure – or maybe for pleasure, who knows – started ripping the body of his competitor into pieces.

Heftigauroch vs. Fuchsteufelwild

This was a fantastic match with both fighters dealing plenty of damage to their opponent. The Heftigauroch landed punches all over the Fuchsteufelwild's face and body, leaving him bruised and bleeding heavily. However, the difference in this fight was the Fuchsteufelwild's nails and the corrosive acid dripping from them. He finally managed to slice off both arms of the Heftigauroch, before slicing the bull-like creature in half at the waist.

Glühenvolk vs. Wældreór

The Wældreór was very aggressive in this fight and sliced up the Glühenvolk quickly after the start of the match. The crowd was visibly upset with the quick match as their seats cost a small fortune. The match barely lasted long enough for them to sit in their seats. One member of the crowd ran into the fighting area for some reason, and it turned out to be a terrible mistake, as the Wældreór ended up making the crowd member his second victim of the night.

El Cuegle vs. Weten Ogen

The Weten Ogen had her shoulder wrapped in a bandage from her fight with the Apgadnieks and was seriously at a disadvantage against that huge three-armed-three-eyes El Cuegle. She managed to deliver some blows, but probably just because the latter was distracted with whatever was going on in his head. She couldn’t have hit him that hard yet, that he would fall on his knees. Being too careless in her approach, the El Cuegle managed to clutch his regular arms around her body, holding her in a death grip. While he was smashing his third fist into the woman’s face he babbled something like “the ducks, beware the ducks…”. When she stopped screaming the gray-skinned Wesen opened his arms and the lifeless body of hers fell down. Again he murmured something about ducks and then stomped into what was left of her face.

Vibora Dorada vs. Cracher-Mortel

The Vibora Dorada tried to quickly charge towards the Cracher-Mortel to land a paralyzing bite as the match began, but the Cracher-Mortel was simply faster, landing his toxic spit on his first attempt. As soon as the Vibora Dorada's face was hit, he went stumbling to the ground, twitching and convulsing in pain. It had to be of some relief to the Cracher-Mortel in this round that his first attempt at firing his toxic spit was all he needed, as opposed to his last battle with the Matança Zumbido. Apparently, the Cracher-Mortel did not respect the Vibora Dorada's efforts, as he broke the Vibora Dorada's neck shortly after hitting it with his toxic saliva... or perhaps this was a mercy killing. Either way, the Cracher-Mortel lives to fight another day.

Kitsune vs. Musai

Undoubtedly happy to see her guardian, the Inugami, win earlier in the day, the Kitsune looked inspired and ready to go right from the start. The Musai, perhaps hoping for another dehydrated Wesen to enter the ring, unfortunately was facing another fresh fighter. She barely had the chance to even think about trying to seduce or plant a deadly kiss on her opponent before she was being torn apart, limb from limb. The Kitsune showed absolutely no mercy in this one. Naturally, the crowd applauded in approval, as the Kitsune bowed to the audience to show her respect.

Uhranuti vs. Schinderdiv

The Uhranuti was too fast for the Schinderdiv, who couldn't even deal any damage to his opponent. The Uhranuti knew she had a big advantage so she taunted the Schinderdiv for a few minutes before killing him by jumping on his back, grabbing his tusks, and snapping his neck, a move that the Uhranuti heard rumors about involving a Grimm doing the same thing a couple years ago in Portland.

Excandesco vs. Murciélago

Both competitors were highly rated and it was a shame that they had to meet so soon into the tournament. Two years ago the champion had been an Excandesco and her successor a big legacy to live up to. Would he be able to win against the Murciélago? The latter entered the arena fully woged. She took a deep breath and started her trademark scream. The audience had been given earplugs beforehand by the way, just to be sure to keep the collateral damage as little as possible. The Excandesco had already shrouded himself in this blazing white hot flames and ran towards the big bat. But oh, he went in a circle, avoiding a direct approach which would bring him in the exact line of attack as much as possible. Maybe he… but alas, she turned her head in time to get him, before the fire got to close for comfort. Wow, the Excandesco, his fire… only 5 meters distance left and the shockwaves they… at this close range, they really extinguished the fire! Unbelievable… Now for the last meters the Excandesco has literally nothing left for a defense and even though he actually managed to get his hands on the Murciélago’s throat, he only managed to burn his handprints into the bat’s flesh before sinking onto his face, blood dripping out of his ears and eye-sockets, already dead.

Indole Gentile vs. Siegbarste

This wasn’t a fight but merely an execution… The Indole Gentile immediately froze as he caught sight of his opponent. But not moving wasn’t hardly a very promising way to defend oneself or even attack. Only moments later the audience could hear bones cracking and gurgling noises coming of the poor Indole, until he finally fell completely silent.

Malin Fatal vs. Dickfellig

The Dickfellig hardly broke a sweat in his last match, which undoubtedly had to have helped him stay fresh, but he did not fight a Wesen that would be running away from him in any stretch in this one. Immediately, the Dickfellig went into his full-out charge, clearly planning to deliver another deadly blow with his horn. The Malin Fatal, too, started towards the Dickfellig, but in a more calculated manner. When the two met, the Malin Fatal moved to the side and swung his tusks; the Dickfellig missed completely and suffered a cut to left shoulder, drawing blood. The Dickfellig roared angrily and again immediately started to charge at the Malin Fatal. The Malin Fatal stood his ground and attempted the same maneuver, but the Dickfellig had better foresight and much more ill intent the second time, moving his body to the left at the last moment. The Dickfellig correctly predicted which direction the Malin Fatal would attempt to move in order to dodge the Dickfellig's charge, and the Malin Fatal was sent flying into the stands. There was no need for the Dickfellig to finish off his opponent, as a free-for-all immediately broke out in the crowd, many of the spectators in the area just absolutely going to town on the helpless Malin Fatal. The Löwen supervisor certainly looked amused by it all, even cheering on the Löwen Games faithful. Everyone (well, almost everyone) came out a winner in this fight!

Round of 32 (April 9-10)

April 9

Mauvais Dentes vs. Skalenzahne

It looks like whatever memories the Gedächtnis Esser took from the Mauvais Dentes in the previous round only made him stronger, which was bad news for the Portland Trail Blazers superstar Skalenzahne. It wasn't an easy fight for the Mauvais Dentes, as the Skalenzahne was hitting him around early in the fight, and managed to get some bites in, but the Mauvais Dentes was patient, waiting for the right moment to strike and end the fight. When the Skalenzahne went in for another bite, the Mauvais Dentes used his claws to hit the Skalenzahne away. The Mauvais Dentes then quickly pounced onto the Skalenzahne's back and ripped his throat out with his claws. With this fight, the Portland Trail Blazers lost their best players ever, who had a bright basketball future ahead of him still.

Wasser Zahne vs. Vulpesmyrca

The Vulpesmyrca was too smart to fall for the tactic the Wasser Zahne previously used against the Höllentier, a species not known for their intelligence. The Wasser Zahne was forced to beat the Vulpesmyrca out of the water, and it was able to do so, though not without some serious consequences – the Wasser Zahne was looking like he would lose this fight for quite some time, unable to handle the Vulpesmyrca's speed, but he was lucky enough to land a fatal slashing haymaker of a blow out of desperation to the Vulpesmyrca's belly, causing his intestines to spill out onto the arena. The Wasser Zahne was seen limping out of the arena afterwards with his right arm clutching his left side.

Manticore vs. Jägerbar

The Jägerbar was very unprepared for this fight. His overconfidence from his first two, very easy fights vs. the Reinigen and Genio Innocuo got to his head. He thought this fight would be just as quick and easy, but he was very wrong about that. Well, he wasn't wrong about it being a quick fight, it just wasn't in his favor. Early into the match, the Manticore used his scorpion-like tail to strike the Jägerbar quickly in the chest, followed by another strike to the throat, killing the Jägerbar.

Varme Tyv vs. Löwen

This sure wasn't an easy win for the Löwen and it cost him dearly. It seemed he was the first Wesen being soundly prepared for fighting a Varme Tyv. He avoided any contact with the latter Wesen at the beginning, testing his reactions, almost playing and taunting him a little like a cat would with a mouse. At first it seemed to exhaust the Varme Tyv who was breathing heavily and shaking even harder by now. So the Löwen must've thought his opponent would be an easy target but he was wrong. Yes, the Varme Tyv couldn't move very fast in his almost frozen state, but it made his touch so much more dangerous. And finally, as the Löwen tried to attack with his claws he got a good hit, but he also couldn’t prevent getting touched with one ice cold hand at his bare skin. The Löwen roared in pain and frustration as the skin on his right forearm turned to an unhealthy shade of blue. Luckily for him the Varme Tyv only managed to get him for a second otherwise… he would have turned into an iceblock already. Anyway, since his right already was incapacitated and frozen the Löwen proved enough self-discipline not to use his left hand for the next attack, leaving him with both arms frozen. It didn’t took the Löwen much to get the Varmy Tyv finally down, as his first attack had already caused a lot of damage. With his throat ripped open he fell to the ground turning into a bloody and icy statue.

Fuchsbau vs. Drang-Zorn

The Foxy Lady had a good tournament so far with two relatively easy wins in a row. Now she faced the Drang-Zorn. He was more aggressive from the beginning than the Fuchsbau, pressing her into hand-to-hand with wild and strong attacks. All the same it seemed the Fuchsbau would overpower him… till she made a fatal mistake and lost her balance. That was the opening the Drang-Zorn had waited for and he took good use of it, digging his teeth deep into the Fuchsbau’s entrails.Too bad...

Dämonfeuer vs. Anubis

Perhaps some of the spectators over the past few days had sensed the Dämonfeuer becoming a little too overconfident, as the Anubis was a slight favorite coming into this match. The Löwen typically like a little overconfidence in their Löwen Games fighters, so it must have been a bit disappointing to them when this fight unfolded the way it did. As soon as the match began, the Dämonfeuer ignited the arena, attempting perhaps to set a record for the shortest match ever. That wasn't the case, as the Anubis sprinted as fast as he could to get out of the way, his backside constantly being pursued by a raging inferno for a few seconds before he was able to run out of range of the intense heat, though he had to quickly drop and roll on the ground to put out some small flames on his back. The Dämonfeuer, surprised to see her competitor still standing, quickly pursued him. Some spectators in the front row near the area where the Anubis had ran to, perhaps sensing what was to come next, quickly evacuated their seats, as the Dämonfeuer coughed up some lipids and ignited the air a second time. The Anubis again sprinted away from the scorching heat towards the arena wall and used the wall to his advantage, running along the side for a few yards before springing off of it back towards the Dämonfeuer. The Dämonfeuer, still aiming at the wall in pursuit of the Anubis, tried to adjust to the leaping Anubis as it was in mid-air, but she ran out of fuel to keep her flames going, and the Anubis quickly landed on his feat and came upon her. The Dämonfeuer blocked a few of the punches the Anubis tried to throw at her in a furious rally, before she was finally overcome. The Anubis was able to tackle her to the ground and bite out her throat.

Ataktos Fuse vs. Hexenbiest

The Ataktos Fuse just had one of the biggest upsets in tournament history by defeating the Hexenbiest, who was heavily favored to win the whole tournament. For some reason, instead of using her telekinesis to easily win the match, the Hexenbiest hesitated when the match started. It appeared that the Ataktos Fuse said something to her that caught her off guard just as the fight was about to begin. The next thing anyone knew, the Ataktos Fuse was using his elongated fingers to stab the Hexenbiest in the throat. When asked what he said to the Hexenbiest, the Ataktos Fuse would not elaborate much, but said that he had some connections with people outside the tournament that managed to take something very valuable that belonged to the Hexenbiest, and after he told her what it was, that was the moment he needed to achieve this monumental upset.

Lausenschlange vs. Nuckelavee

The Nuckelavee came limping into the arena for this match, still struggling with the gash to her left tibia that she suffered in her first fight of the Löwen Games with the Luison. The Lausenschlange was able to take full advantage of this handicap, knowing the Nuckelavee's movement was severely limited. When the match began, he quickly approached her and started strangling her with his right arm. Desperate to escape, she reached for the Lausenschlange's head behind her and wildly waves her hoofed hands to strike a blow of any kind, but as soon as she landed a blow to the Lausenschlange's head, he violently pulled the Nuckelavee to the ground so that she was lying directly on top of the Lausenschlange, who maintained the chokehold from underneath her. Eventually, the Nuckelavee's arms stopped moving, and she was strangled to death.

Koschie vs. Taweret

The Taweret is not feeling so well after this fight. She is both exhausted from chasing around the Koschie all over the arena, and physically ill due to the radiation poison caused by the Koschie. The Koschie tried his best to kill his opponent with radiation before she could kill him, but he was unsuccessful, though it appears he may have gotten close before his head ended up in the Taweret's mouth.

Blutbad vs. Steinadler

Despite all his injuries the Blutbad looked okay at entering the arena. His last fight went well and eating up the whole Seelengut must’ve had a positive effect on his overall condition; he seemed quite eager to get on with the fighting. He got his wish granted as the Steinadler joined him in the arena. This fighter could hardly await the signal as well it seemed, because as soon as the Löwen gave order, both Wesen clashed into another. The Steinadler was fast in delivering his attacks but the Blutbad hit harder. The Steinadler seemed to have struck at least one of the previous lacerations the Blutbad got from the Raum-Kondor since the red stains on his shirt grew larger by the minute, but instead of hampering him it just drove the Blutbad into a murderous frenzy. Without showing any self-regard whatsoever he stroke out with his claws and fangs, finally overwhelming the Steinadler. Though judging by the face the Blutbad made the Steinadler tasted not quite as good as the Seelengut he nevertheless fed on the loser of this fight.

Wendigo vs. Fuchsteufelwild

This was not a fight for the faint of heart. The Wendigo was already in a frenzy entering this match, having tasted blood in his previous fight against the Balam, and he knew his opponent, the Fuchsteufelwild, was coming in pretty beat up from his last fight with the Heftigauroch. With the match signaled to begin, the Wendigo wasted no time in wildly going after his competitor, but the Fuchsteufelwild was ready. An audible gasp could be heard from the crowd as the Fuchsteufelwild raised its corrosive fingernails in defense and sliced both of the Wendigo's arms cleanly right off at the mid-forearm. The Wendigo screamed in mixed horror and rage. The sight of his own blood and wounds made the Wendigo appear to go into even more of a frenzy, as this fighter was determined to do whatever it would take to win, even if it meant beating his opponent to death with the stubs he had left for arms. The crowd rose to its feet, inspired by the Wendigo's tenacity, but as the Wendigo charged back in, the Fuchsteufelwild readied himself and drove his fingernails straight through the Wendigo's eyes. For a moment, the Wendigo continued to flail his legs and his shortened arms, but the Fuchsteufelwild pulled his fingernails out of the Wendigo's sockets, and the Wendigo promptly collapsed to the ground in a heap. The Fuchsteufelwild then turned and snarled at the crowd, as the spectators jeered and booed the Fuchsteufelwild, presumably for ruining a temporary inspirational moment. The Fuchsteufelwild could be heard yelling back angrily at the crowd, "You will all chant my name in the end! You will all see! TINKLE RUSTLIMPS! Hahahahahahaha!!!!"

Note for next match: The Fuchsteufelwild still has bruises and cuts all over his face and body from his fight with the Heftigauroch, though this has healed somewhat since there were no further setbacks that occurred in his last fight with the Wendigo.

Wældreór vs. El Cuegle

Two Wesen that most people think are just myths or legends. Little do they know, these two creatures are very real and had a very bloody fight. The Wældreór was out for blood and was using his claws and teeth to slice and bite the El Cuegle, who was trying his best to hold the Wældreór off with his two main hands, while trying to land some hits with his third arm. He finally managed to land a huge shot to the Wældreór's face, causing the Wældreór to drop to the ground. The bloodied El Cuegle then pinned the Wældreór and beat him to death with all three of his arms.

Cracher-Mortel vs. Kitsune

The Kitsune tried her best to avoid the spit of the Cracher-Mortel, but was unable to avoid it long enough to land any damage to the Cracher-Mortel. The Cracher-Mortel was hoping to keep her alive to use in his next match, but he was told that he would not be allowed to do so, so he walked over to the Kitsune as she was rolling around on the ground and he stomped her face in.

Taweret vs. Blutbad

Reporter: Zoo

Note: The Taweret is suffering from very severe radiation poisoning from her fight with the Koschie, and it is unknown what her condition will be in this fight... if she even lives long enough to fight.

Note: The Blutbad sustained several fairly severe lacerations to his arms and midsection from his first fight with the Raub-Kondor. His injuries didn't slow him down too much in his fight against the Seelengut, but in his last fight the Steinadler managed to at least reopen one of the injuries in his midsection.
