Curupira

A Curupira (koo-roo-PEER-uh; Por., from Tupi kuru'pir "Covered in blisters," or curumi + pira "Boy's body" ) is a Wesen mentioned by Rosalee in "Tree People".

Behavior[]

Not much is known about this Wesen's behavior, but, based on Rosalee's and Monroe's comments, it appears to not take kindly at all to poachers or those who disrespect nature, as they have a natural desire to protect the natural environment live in. In general, they are very protective over their territory. They are known to be from Brazil and are best characterized as "forest Wesen," as Monroe put it.

Trivia[]

  • A Curupira is a mythological creature in Brazilian folklore. It is the protector of the forests and wild animals, normally killing hunters who disrespect the forest and their inhabitants, or making them get lost forever in the woods.
