She literally just vanished no trace (until Eve appeared) how would Nick explain what happened to her? Without sounding Crazy or like he killed her? Or do her family not care? Also I'm based in the U.K. No spoilers please. Episode 6 airs tonight

When Juliette moved out and quit her job she stopped anwsering Nick's phone calls. I believe Nick would have called her family and told them she left him and was not talking to him. If the police think you left willingly it is not treated like a murder here.

Maybe they passed away? Were lost in an accident?
She could be an orphan. . . .?
Juliette like the actress is part Spanish descent and lived in Spain for a time when she was younger, and, while living in Spain, she became fluent in Spanish. Otherwise I do not think we know anything about her family.
El Cucuy, Juliette: My grandma used to call it "El Coco," and whenever I was bad, like I wouldn't go to bed, she would say it was gonna come and get me or if I didn't make the bed, it would be hiding under the bed waiting for me, or if I didn't eat my vegetables.

In one episode (maybe season 1, 2 or 3) Juliette's contacts had Mom and Dad.
Nick talking to Juliette about the fireworks and her dad.
02x07 - The Bottle Imp10/14/12 11:04 Yeah, the fireworks were at the dairy. Right? Your dad used to take you there when you were a little girl. I told you about that? Yeah. Yeah, come on. You... your dad had this whistle he wore around his neck, right? And he would make birdcalls with it, and you'd get very embarrassed. Nick, I remember telling you that. [Laughs] I remember that.

Without sounding Crazy or like he killed her? Or do her family not care?
I think that was the whole point of putting Nick and Adalind into the fome. He wouldn't have to explain anything if the relatives couldn't find him. Although how he would manage to avoid contact while in the precinct would be another matte.
Without sounding Crazy or like he killed her? Or do her family not care?
The fome was more to hide from Sean, the Royals and whatever enemies Nick and Adalind had. If Juliette's family were looking for him, they could find him at the precinct. Nick wasn't in hiding from them. I imagine he simply told them that things didn't work out and Juliette just left. Hadrian's Wall would have taken care of everything else since they had actually kidnapped Juliette and brainwashed her to be a killing machine. They, much more than Nick had the means to deal with ensuring her family and her work didn't raise any flags regarding her whereabouts.
I think we're missing the obvious reason: Juliette's parents may have already passed on before the show even started. From what we were shown, Nick (and Renard) were the only people who ever visited Juliette during her coma. I'm sure most people, if their son or daughter was in a coma, even if said 'child' was an adult, they would spend at least a little bit of time watching over their 'baby' at the hospital. And they also would have contacted Nick to find out what happened to put her into a coma. Her parents also didn't visit her (nor try to bail her out) when she was thrown in jail in season 4. Now, neither of those things (lack of hospital visit, lack of jail visit) gives us absolute proof that they're gone. Could be they were alive but didn't live in Portand or anywhere nearby. But those seem like strong indications to me.
Someone said Nick should have contacted Juliette's parents after they broke up: I don't agree. They're *Juliette's* parents, not Nick's. The normal thing would be: she tells *her* family & *her* friends while he tells *his* family & *his* friends. There's an excellent chance she would get mightily pissed off at him if he "crossed a line" by talking to her parents. Now, that we were not shown her doing so is, again, not proof that they are dead. Maybe the show writers just didn't bother show us any of that.
Last point: even though "mom" and "dad" might have been listed in the contacts on Juliette's phone, that doesn't mean they're still around. I still have my mom listed in my phone and she's been gone 4 years now. (I know it sounds silly but I just can't bring myself to "delete her". It just feels too.. final. :( Maybe Juliette felt the same about her folks.)
Anyway, long and short is: I think it makes more sense (and fits better with what we were shown) if Juliette's parents were already dead before the show started.
