An Apgadnieks (uhp-GĀD-nee-eks; Latvian: "wage earner, breadwinner, supporter") is a husky-like Wesen that appeared in "Lost Boys".

Characteristics[]

The most striking feature of Apgadnieks are their intense blue eyes, to which they are able to concentrate their woge. When they woge, they also gain hair that covers most of their body and face except for the area around their mouth. They do not lose the hair on their heads that they have in their human forms, and depending on the lighting, the hair that they gain when they woge can look either white, brown, or a bit of both. The cartilaginous area of their nose also turns into a brown, dog-like rhinarium. Their ears enlarge as well and become dog-like, with hair around the edge and most external parts of the ear, while the rest of the visible pinnae is hairless.

Behavior[]

They have a natural tendency to be leaders, and as such, they aren't hesitant to give orders or directions when necessary. They are also courageous and more than willing to fight others that may be much bigger or older than they are. Apgadnieks are clever and quite resourceful creatures as well, able to survive with few resources.

Season 5 Blu-ray Grimm Guide Profile[]

A Malamute Wesen, the Apgadnieks is known for its intense blue eyes and sharp teeth. Like most canid Wesen, they aren't known for being the most trustworthy of creatures. Often using their abilities for less than noble purposes.
