A Grimmy Christmas to all Grimmsters!
Some scenes from Twelve Days of Krampus, The Grimm Who Stole Christmas and Let Your Hair Down.
Probably not now. There was a lot of talk about a spin-off a couple of years ago, but it was not picked up.
Happy New Year grimmsters! @Dragonfly82 @KateBliss

So don't vote then.... It a bit ironic that you were “very glad” to see her included in the lineup, but find the idea of voting pointless. There are currently 19 votes and Nick has a solid lead of 42%.
@Lucille55 - You should vote for her then. She currently has 0%, while Nick leads with 36%.
Today, exactly ten years ago, on October 28, 2011, Grimm premiered on NBC.
Nick accepted Kelly almost immediately. You can generalize as much as you like, it does not change the implications of what you said.
For a long time, Grimm had an extremely high rating on google. 98% of google-users who rated the show gave it a thumbs up. In the last year or so it has fallen a lot and today it had a rating of 89%. So, next time you are logged into your Google account, type Grimm in the search field and click on the “thumbs up” icon. Let's push Grimm above 90% again!
@Lucille55 - That is not an unreasonable statement. Although unintentional, you're also implying that Nick was better than other Grimms....
Not all wesen are evil. Monroe, Rosalee and Bud should be clear examples of the opposite. But there are many non-evil wesen. Yes, they can breed with regular people and other wesen. There has even been one case where a hexenbiest had a child with a Grimm.
1. Nick (the Grimm)
2. Adalind
3. Monroe
4. Rosalee
5. Trubel
6. Kelly (Nick’s mom)
7. Bud
8. Wu
9. Hank
10. Renard
11. Juliette
12. Eve
Fair enough. Kudos for acknowledging it was a mistake.
There is also a kind of an error in the book. It says Nick Burkhardt (1982) but should really be Nicholas.
Considering Nick and Trubel were flipping through the book together, it appears like a rather strange assertion that Nick was “hesitant to tell her about her lineage”. After finding Nick in the book, Trubel said: “But if you're in here, maybe I am too”. They started looking, but then Monroe discovered the secret compartment with the keys, and everyone turned their attention to that. The next time we hear about Trubel's family line is in the 20 years later epilogue.
That's essentially what I'm saying, except that Nick is the series' main character, so his son plays a key role in the "next chapter" of Grimm.
"Nick Burkhardt discovered that the only way to defeat such evil was with the strength of his blood, his Aunt Marie, his mother Kelly, and Trubel, his third cousin on his mother's side, the power of our ancestors. And though the people of our world would never know how close they had come to hell on Earth, we knew, because he never turned away from who he was, a Grimm".
I doubt the creative team spent time thinking about Kelly's powers, since he was just an infant. The point of the end was to show that Nick's son continued in his father's footsteps with Diana and the triplets, + Nick, Adalind, Monroe and Rosalee were ok and together.
Yes, Nick did have powers other Grimms did not. The same could be the case for Kelly - because he inherited these from Nick and /or his mother was a hexenbiest.
The combination of Adalind having Nick's blood in her, and that she drank the suppression potion during her pregnancy, could be a reason why Kelly is an ordinary Grimm. My point is that Kelly was definitely a Grimm - although he could have some hybrid powers.
(You could speculate on what impact having Nick’s blood in her had on Diana. Was it one of the reasons she was so powerful or why she did not woge like others hexenbiests?).
Kelly may have other powers, in addition to being a Grimm. But he's definitely a Grimm. Considering the blood of a Grimm would kill the spirit of a hexenbiest, it’s just logical that the Grimm gene dominated.
Just for the record, it was obvious from the 20 years later scene that Kelly is a Grimm. The show is called Grimm, Kelly is the son of the Grimm and the whole point of the last sequence was to show that the Grimm tradition lived on.
But if interpreting the end in context is not enough, we also have ZooBlazer, who I believe is one of the moderators on Grimm wiki, who have said that someone who worked with the "head writers" during all the season, also confirmed that Kelly is a Grimm. From his twitter- conversation with the Grimm-writer:
Q: “Sorry to bother you, but there is a debate going on on the wiki. Based on the end of the final, is it safe to say that Kelly is a Grimm?”
A: “Yes, Kelly’s a Grimm. Gotta be a Grimm to write in the Grimm journals”.
