Any one of the 3 Grimm Novels?
(Not Grimm Brothers Fairytales, though feel free to mention if you've read those. I have, strange but great)
Currently I am reading my first, "The Chopping Block". It is very well written. The spirit of the characters is captured perfectly by the author. The chapters are written expertly, the depth and detail to setting scenes and locations is spot on. Everyone gets their turn at their story point, even the antagonist (which was very enjoyable to see into their mind and emotions)
It's very much like reading an episode.
