Yea I think @Dragonfly82 is right. Budget and storylines probably played a role in it. But, I have to admit I would have loved to have seen what they came up with for an Amarok :)

I think, they would had liked to have other wesen. Because that's why they did introduced 20 books. The closest thing was having a group of random wesen.

Could had been on the Spin-Off.

Without thinking Amarok is the most doubtful ever, they could've shown him at act, i think instead of showing “Barbatus Ossifrage” as the last wesen they faced, it could’ve been Amarok
